Indeed. But I really wanted exclusives on this thing. I dont like the "over" emphasis of 4K that MS is putting on Xbox One X. That machine can render insane visuals at 1080p if uitilized correctly. Imagine a full blown Gears 5 exclusive only on X, that would be amazing. But I guess this will be a dream only, for now.
This year is different though. Sony needs to balance between 3rd party and exclusives. This will be an interesting E3 for Sony.
I still think MS needs to take the hit and launch it at $399. $499 is too expense in my opinion.
Although it has mechanics that are taken from the Souls series, its setting, music, gameplay style, weapons, bosses, art style are drastically different.
It's not just another "Souls" game.
Well, it must be really hard to achieve 60fps with this. Despite the game's age, sometimes games are coded in a way that they have really limited enhancement opportunities. Looks like this game was hard coded for 30fps and there was no way to double the frame rate.
If history is proof, then I don't recall any console doing great at that price point.
It will be absolutely phenomenal if it outsells the PS2. 150 million is a huge ask though. Sony needs to sell another 90 million...not impossible but seriously difficult. Pachter is on point...the success of Switch and possibly Scorpio may slow down things for PS4.
But that sweet 100 million mark is looking like a possibility.
This article isn't about the games. This article purely focuses on the technical side of things.
Indeed, regardless of how big the map was, for me, Zero Dawn was about how unique each location was. How unique the environment, the machines, the NPCs were. And the developers absolutely nailed it in terms of quality unlike other open world games who give us a huge bloated map with nothing much to do.
I think MS has had a great E3 since 2014. They have revealed some really good games in the last 3 years. Unfortunately some of them got canceled. But generally speaking till last November, it's been pretty good.
I also hope this will ensure faster installation times of games when connected to the internet.
No, he did not. He simply answered that the Scorpio doesnt need a boost mode because it's already powerful enough. How is that taking shots?
I doubt it will be $449. It really is a high end machine. But again, Microsoft may surprise us so you never know. The sweet spot is $399 but really it will be amazing if MS sets that price for Scorpio.
Do you think 64mb will be enough for the Scorpio? (hypothetical question since there is no esram in Scorpio)
Not really. MGS4 got delayed. MGS5 got delayed so much that they had to cut content. But on a whole, Kojima has delivered games on time. So this criticism does not apply to his whole career but for MGS4 and MGS5 it does apply.
That is the whole point of the boost mode. I think Sony should be applauded for adding this additional option. A software based solution which may or may not help games. Players have nothing to lose by trying this option out as they can simple switch it off if the results are unexpected.
Well, that does not tell anything about how big the map is in relation to the player. The map in the game is huge though. No doubt about that.
Well, he's got some top talent from Konami. Technical director of Fox engine, level designer of MGS5...that is some amazing people there now.
I am wondering if KJP grows bigger than Konami Digital Entertainment one day. I know this is a dream but you never know.
Correct me if I am wrong? But didn't Sony said at some point that they have a 10 year plan for PS4?
