This is good news. Behind PC oriented controls that somehow made it past into a console release there is a good game here. Loved the atmosphere. Controls were iffy enough to break it though and was never able to get the keyboard mouse to work right to get the experience without it being frustrating. Hope they give us the JP exclusive multiplayer portion this time.
I would disagree with a remake there are many previous gen FF games that should come before X. Were getting X-3 sometime in the distant future and that's much more than i could hope for.

The problem is Squares negligence. What we didn't get is Mod Tools. No mention of it being cancelled and never heard from again. When the game released on PC one of the main focuses was "ongoing mod support". Also Steam port still sucks LOL its awful... but there is an unofficial workaround to fix all that now

You could say that Timesplitters still lays dormant even today. It has been quite a while since the big petition opened online for it as i remember it happening there was a lot of interest then, Crytek weren't sure how many would want this game to continue so they gave a certain community of freelance devs a chance. To look for the best in the series you start from 3 to San Andreas. The author here missed the mark entirely.
