Philosopher gamer? Not sure what that’s supposed to be.

Mark my words if it’s a hit, an eventual VR update will be inevitable. Fingers crossed.

I for one will be going back to essential at the next renewal. When I feel a game is good & right up my alley, I’ll check trusted reviews & just buy it.

Yeah it’s not pretty. The whole live service thing messed a lot of things up. I’m holding them to their word for 2025, until then I’m not expecting much, but Astrobot was a nice surprise.

Astrobot day freakin 1!

Word for word. Exactly this. A lot of fun to be had in there. A true Mad Max game. Sequel can’t come soon enough.

The way I see it is even though HB2’s graphics aren’t enough to save xbox, the gen isn’t & shouldn’t be over because there’s still a lot of potential for devs to make fun, technically advanced, immersive & memorable games.
Problem is, as you mention, ms doesn’t care.

Are we saying graphics dictate when a gen starts or ends?
If so I strongly disagree.

It’s never been about looks. At least for me.

Exactly right. No more journalists. Just 1 take regurgitated & paraphrased down the chain. Smh.

Narrative control. I don’t like this at all.
Independent reviewers will be more important than ever.

I'm expecting Phil's next spin to go something like: "We've thrived to deliver to you the best graphical story in gaming..." then of course "...something gamepass..."
Shame for Ninja Theory though, I hope they don't get affected due to low scores.

I fear there’s a growing amount of gamers that doesn’t know any better or have been conditioned to not care.
They just want the next toy to fiddle with & stream their playthrough online. I hope I’m wrong.

Exactly. Ghost of Tsushima scratched that itch & then some.
Thing is Sucker Punch focused on making a great game, Ubisoft’s focus is probably once anything but.

Yup, my point is it may be annoying to some extent but doesn’t justify the outrage. The mistakes I mentioned are mainly arguments for annoyance but weak ones for outrage.
I just hope Ghost of Tsushima sales aren’t affected by this.

I get that the whole issue is because it’s obvious the PSN sign up can be optional. But so can every other service sign up…they should actually all be optional, but I can see how this may be a case of last straw.

Sony basically made 2 mistakes:

. Not properly communicating that it was momentarily disabled for HD2. By the time they wanted to re-enable it, it was too late & badly conveyed, pissing off (understandably) both informed & misinformed gam...

Ubisoft once again helping me save for other games that matter.

Went back & played a few missions the other day. Still such an amazing mode!

This is the way.

It's not sthg missing. On the contrary personally I felt like they tried too much. Bigger or more is not always better.
HFW Graphics is on another level. Story is still great, HZD's mystery & lore were new & fresh, FW did a good job progressing it.

Imho combat in HZD felt tighter. Getting better at combat came more naturally to me with ZD than FW. Between weapon/arrow types & status effects it felt like too much. Dodging felt nerfed & God fo...
