Yeah I d/c from PSN too and have had no trouble since doing so. Seems to work a trick :).
This was gonna happen PD have never made a retail online racer before and since this will be the biggest selling racer this year it will no doubt need massive bandwidth to connect all those users. It doesn't help that you are constantly connected to the servers soon as your in the game either whether your actually racing online or not.
Seems to be something to do with connection not the actual game the games sold so well the GT servers cannot handle it right now and since the game is conected at all time constantly sending info both ways it's causing some problems. There is a new notification in game this morning about it. The games not crashed for me once it did freeze while loading yesterday and all I did was sign out of PSN and it immediately unfroze. I agree though and that's partly the problem too. Too many expected perfection and didn't get it. Also people went into reviews looking for faults and soon as they found them took massive swipes at it for something that wouldn't bother your average gamer.

Good review and I feel the same way about the game really theres so much to do and reviewers on the net seem to forget its a driving game first and foremost..
Forza doesnt even run 720p native.. its an unfair comparison only 1 game runs in HD. The fact is to get 60fps and a great looking game on 360 or ps3 you have to go SD or screen tearing will occur.
comparing a HD game to an SD game... how bad is that??? of course forza gonna have less tears its not even in HD for crying out loud not to mention less cars and effects..
Hmm you can probably get about 3 or 4 good games out of that powerstone will be up at the top though and maybe shenmue which has a cult following.
Difference with Sony they paid them off and will use that tech in future consoles and it will pay for itself this problem only affects 1 console so will take a chunk out of its profits. If this costs MS too much the 360 may seem like its just not a viable investment for MS anymore. Like what happened with the original Xbox.
No doubt this will end up like other lawsuits MS will buy there way out of it however the amount it will cost them will decide the future of 360 as that money will come from the xbox division and will take away from future games etc.. So it's not good news if Motorola have a case for GAMERS. I just don't get why MS do stuff like this to no doubt save a few dollars..
Ah here comes the trolls.. They hate the facts and have it in there head that the 360 is more powerful.. Its a shame really.. They really think because the ps3 is slightly more powerful it will make a big difference in games so they won't admit to it. People with half a brain know its down to developers that bad ports are done otherwise all ps3 games would look bad compared to 360s and that's not the case especially recently where ps3 is getting the crown more than it used to on these...
Exactly I been saying this for the last 4 years but I get called from all the fanboys and be labelled a fanboy myself. Meh you know most gamers didn't want stupid damage feature in the first place they only added it for those few who wanted it because "forza had it" and it's more of a nuisance than anything. Just like Cross game chat its not needed and I don't want it. You should be able to turn it off really as it wasnt in previous games and not on psp version.
