Actually,I wanted to ask you the same question.Care to explain the 'horrible close up' texture in Crysis 1? Even 5 years later,games cant match textures of the first Crysis.
Its Crysis 2 that has horrible texture up-close,looks good at a distance though.While u can use the binoculars in Crysis 1 if you are too desperate to find some bad textures.

dude i would agree with you on almost every game ever made but not the original Crysis(2007),sometimes i just sat there wishing the game could use some bad textures so that my gpu can pump some extra frames.
Even the yellow garbage cans / debris in crysis has texture res of at least 2048p or even 4096p !

Actually,i gotta be honest here.PS2 is a better dvd player than the 360 imo,my arcade 360 sounds like a jetplane at times.

@RedDragan, dude at first I thought u havent played the game either because the bonus making-of cut-scenes/behind the scene on the blu-ray explains how the mo-cap was done (u need to earn enough glyph points to unlock them).It was the first game i bought on my ps3 and i was so amazed...too bad Enslaved was a bit of a downgrade,but still good game all-around.
okay, but still 4.16 yr < 5yr , and i was thinking about Worldwide release (march 2007 in EU- 3yr 10 months ago ),forgot about Japan at the time.Sorry

I'm pretty sure God of war collection had it too.psp umd games always comes with other game demos (if its a first party title).
When the psp launched (Sep,2005),i bought a game called Fired Up,it had Wipeout and MediEvil demo on it.It was even before the 360 came out.It was my first umd,so i recall it perfectly,got it for cheap too.

I wonder if that is the reason why all story related cut-scenes in crysis 2 were pre-rendered...they were poorly compressed 360p videos.
