It’s actually closing in on 5 years. I’m still surprised Gears 6 hasn’t been announced. However, the Coalition was rumoured to be working non-Gears projects.
The Series X enhanced versions of Gears 3 and Judgement can at times look like Xbox One titles.
CoD is usually right behind Fortnite on the most played lists of Xbox live and PSN. Fortnite has more players than its nearest competitors, or its players play substantially more. Another possibility is that Fortnite’s most hardcore players largely [or soley ]play just Fortnite.
I’m surprised Homer Simpson hasn’t made it to Fortnite yet. However, he too, like Peter would likely need a slimmed down skin to function in the game.
I don’t play Fortnite, nor am I a big fan of Family Guy. I assumed Peter was made buff, instead of fat due to hit box concerns.
Gears 2,3 and Judgment should be ported to PC with visual enhancements. The Series X enhancements of the previously mentioned games could probably be easily applied to a PC port. I’m patiently waiting for Gears 6 to announced and released.
This could be data from before the Zenimax was bought out my Xbox.
I think the Switch would struggle to run Hi-Fi Rush with good fidelity. The game is meant to run at 60 FPS. While Hi-Fi Rush is cartoony, it more visually complex than the games Nintendo has made for Switch.
The remake will be multiplatform ( https://www.ign.com/article...
I think consumers, especially those who don’t think for themselves are being overly influenced by content creators. Many content creators are dishonest in my opinion, as the make money directly off engagement. E.g. they will play games for hundreds of hours, only to make negative videos or criticize titles that they don’t even play.
If the game isn’t good by your standards, then why would you play it for 100 hrs ?
As you stated, ABK employees have been accusing Kotick of negatively influencing the development of COD MW3 (2023) and Overwatch 2. I recall in 2021/2022 that there were reports that the annual development cycle of CoD was going to be disrupted. MW3 was either not intended for a 2023 release, or it was expected to be an expansion for MW2.
I have never played Shadowrun. However, the universe of Shadowrun seems like a good setting for various game genres. The franchise combines traditional fantasy tropes with cyberpunk science fiction.
DLC for GTA 5 was probably cancelled due to the scale of RDR 2 and the resources demands GTA online.

Sony owns the rights to produce Spider-Man films. Also, Sony has a license to produce Spider-Man games. Disney, however, owns the Spider-Man IP.
Spider-Man 2 is a licensed game, a licensing fee could have affected the budget.
How did Gears 2 make only generate $100 million in revenue, when it sold 6 million + copies ?
The budget would include development, marketing and probably a licensing fee to the Spider-Man IP owner, Disney. A come estimate is that marketing takes up almost half of total development costs.
Sony as a platform holder doesn’t need live service to sustain itself. I believe it was Jim Ryan who wanted to steer Sony towards live service games. He’s no longer with the company. Once Ryan left, Sony started to show indications of moving away from live-service investments.
It would be funny if gaming journalism became dated. Gaming journalism from the 1990s and 2000s was so much better than it is now.
