Interesting idea. There definitely feels like there's been a lot less innovation this gen than last.

Really can't say I agree. Xenoblade Chronicles, X and 2 are among my favorite games of all time. Just pre-ordered the Pyra statue to add to the collection.
While I'm a bit burnt out on Kirby atm I do think this looks great.
I agree these are great games and underplayed but as a Wii U owner that bought nearly all 1st party games I am a bit less excited for all these ports.
At least you always have _something_ to play. There's almost something big releasing soon.

2017 had almost TOO many good games. I'll be playing some of these for years.
All in all it was a great year overall.
My dad is still convinced that DKC is the pinnacle of gaming.
