The answer is simple...do not buy a next-gen console if the price is $70 for a game! This is the only language they will understand. I have been buying every new console for the past 25 years, including the expensive PS3. But if they raise the game prices then I will not be buying a new console in protest.

I feel we should follow Sony when it comes to the delays correlating to the corona virus.Maybe this pandemic will last longer than we think. All other companies who have delayed variousm releases have set a new date, but Sony has not set new dates. Maybe they know something the rest don't so that is why they say it is indefinite.

They really do think that since they own a few properties people will want to sign up for their service...and stupid people will. How Google can try to break into the gaming industry without having at least 3 exclusives is beyond me. How the people in charge there get to keep their jobs is also mind boggling.

Even more reason to delay the current gen version if they know that there won’t be an enhanced version for next-gen...why would you buy the next-gen version if you already played the previous gen one, and they have not enhanced anything on the new one? That is why I believe it is for the other reason. And of course you would delay it to coincide with the next-gen, if they released it today I would get it for the PS4, and would not care for it when PS5 is released. But releasing it closer to next-gen consoles would sell well both on the older systems, and the new ones. It's all about money, nothing to do with polishing. If it needed to be delayed because of it not being finished, they would have known this several months ago and not 3 months before release. Either they are delaying so they can make an "enhanced" version for next-gen consoles. Or, they have been making money now on the Witcher games being sold, on account of the Netflix show.

I agree! I live in Sweden and our libraries usually have games, and the main library in the city has plenty of games. They get the latest games...but I have not borrowed any myself to be honest. I always walk by the game section when I am there for books, and I am glad that they offer games for Playstation, Xbox, and Switch.
Anyone who is at one of these gaming sites and complaining about no PS5 reveal, you should really take a good hard look at yourself. But we in Sweden are really getting the bad end of it...I already have a PS4 pro. But when I look at the prices at GameStops site and other sites, not a single store is offering the PS4 Slim Spider-Man bundle for $199. GameStop has the same bundle for $420. Haha, that's cute. I was in an electronics shop the other day, and while I was waiting for my order I asked the clerk about the preorders for next-gen consoles. He said that they are getting preorders for the Xbox, but the PS5 is getting 3-4 times as many preorders. The clerk himself had preordered a PS5, and a customer was preordering a PS5 at the counter next to me. So there seems to be a big advantage for PS5.
