^Yup precisely.

I have 100% faith in Sony's first party studios to come out with some mind blowing stuff. The amazing graphics will complement the gameplay.

I mean seeing what they did with the PS3 despite their limitations is already mind boggling. Exciting times ahead!

I never said anything about ease of development, I'm saying the use of the hardware isn't as resource intensive as other games. So don't take my words out of context.

The fact is that you can benchmark any racing game on the PC and with relatively modest hardware you can max it out.

You simply cannot do the same for other games. That's all I'm saying.

^Umm... Pretty much common knowledge at this point racing games are very easy on the hardware. Even GT6 managed to hit 1440x1080 on the PS3 given the way it looks and on that 8 year old hardware. It's both talent on Polyphony and the fact that racing games just aren't as resource intensive compared to something like an FPS or open world game.

So you're telling me, the Wii U is not an add-on to the Wii?

I kid I kid.

This generation "might" be different though. While yes it's true, every generation has shown developers hitting a cap and they start to reduce resolutions in sacrifice for effects and what not.

But this time they have tons and tons of memory available. So if anything we might see them start making more 1080p/60fps games. Only when they start hitting that RAM wall (which is going to be years and years away) will we start to see them reduce resolution.

^Actually it's the truth, racing games just aren't that demanding. Have you seen Dirt3 on the PC? Has tons of effects, super sharp textures, and looks f'in amazing. But only takes a $140 graphics card to make it run locked 1080p/60fps/4xMSAA.

After looking more into Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3, I've decided to eventually get an XB1 (maybe if they have a bundle.) Despite my grudge against the weak hardware, I have to say I really want to play those games anyway.

But will stick to PC/PS4 a majority of my gaming. Absolutely will not miss Naughty Dog's next game especially on PS4.

This is pretty amazing looking especially for a launch sports game.

lol me too. GTA V was my last PS3 game.

I'm not even going to get GT6 because the PS4 is going to take all my time.

Well there's going to be people (like me) who really don't care about Kinect.

I actually have Kinect and guess what 3 games I have on it. Kinect Adventures, Dance Central 2 and 3. That's it.

This time my wife isn't going to convince me to get the Kinect that is going to collect dust.

So yes, people out there would love to buy a XB1 without Kinect. Heck, give me a $400 Forza 5 Kinect-less bundle and I'll pre-order it righ...

You know it's only those extreme fanboys that are going wishy washy saying 1080p/60fps doesn't matter and then gloat about Forza 5 being 1080p/60fps.

Oh well. I'm actually getting excited to play Forza 5. Going to wait it out though until early next year though.

Whoops my mistake, they will only do that for a certain collection of cars on Career mode. And not every single car.

Still, we get to race the Stig!

That's true too, they will probably do bundles to "offset" the price of the console.

Which isn't too bad. If they do something like a Forza 5 + Dead Rising 3 bundle. I'll probably actually buy one.

In reality it's probably going to be some Kinect game nobody really wants and Sonic Adventure or something lol

Water is wet, fire is hot, and someone here will probably tell you water will burn you and fire will put out water.

At first this seems like a troll comment, but then as I read it again, I absolutely agree.

Back when I wasn't so tech savvy, I used to think 720p was extremely clear. Then I saw 1080p Blu-Rays and by god the difference was amazing.

And then I got into PC gaming around 2009 and experienced 1080p 60fps. That isn't to say I didn't enjoy 720p 30fps games on the PS3 and 360, but the fidelity of the PC games was unmatched. This eventually lead to me bu...

What you need to do, is go to Fry's or something and have them demo you a game on a 1920x1080 monitor. Load up a game at native 1920x1080 and then switch it to 1280x720. You will find the 1280x720 image much much more blurrier with bigger jagged lines and pixels the size of your fist.

That number seems a bit low, until you realize they will have Jezza, The Hamster, and Captain Slow do commentary on each car... I literally might buy a friggin' Xbox One just for that alone... (and Dead Rising 3)

^Yeah one of my friends bought it on PC too and he said the same thing, it just didn't have lasting appeal.

I finally finished the SP (after multiple crashes) I have to say... it kinda sucked.

But eh who cares, BF is for the multiplayer.

The PS4 isn't going to drop anytime soon, it's already priced pretty low. We "may" see it drop $50 in two years or so.

Now for the X1, they really should consider dropping it to $399 like the PS4 or give what people want, a Kinect-less bundle for $349 or something.
