Yeah I've seen all the developer vids and trailers. Game looks incredible, and with the availability of custom mods, this game is going to be amazing.
The thousands of mods were always what separated UT from the rest for me.
Charging nothing to use it, and creating an interface that rivals The Sims or Second Life (for free), is definitely going to be ahead of the rest, as long as it's executed correctly.
From what I understand, aside from the massive community locations and virtual characters, you also get your own customizable virtual apartment. Plus they're completely banning people who troll around acting like fools, so the community can be of a higher quality.

They look in-game, and very excellent graphics. Shows they're actually using up the several years it's taken to create this game, not just stalling out.
Missing Warhawk...but they got Unreal Tournament 3. Personally I'm looking forward to UT3 more than any game this year. If I don't have a PS3 by the time it comes out, I'll buy one just for that game.
Well I don't exactly have the stats on-hand at my desk here, but I would imagine that the majority of people get their porn on the internet, and the ones who don't are satisfied with regular definition DVD's.
That's the difference between the VCR wars and the HD DVD wars. There were no other major sources for video back then. Now you have the internet, and regular DVD in abundance.

Don't quite understand why they never do things like this in America. It's the American market that's currently the most rugged for them. They should be trying to entice our consumers with these kinds of deals.
They did just take a cash injection from their stock recently too (somewhere in the low single digit billions). Which could lead some to believe that they're doing it to combat the loss they're about to take on the 40gig, especially if it has all the bells and whistles of the 80gig.
If it has Wi-Fi and everything that the 80gig has, I'm buying one for sure.

It's interviews like this that make me upset with EA's slackerfied version of Madden on PS3. Epic praises the Cell, these guys say it's difficult, but they can handle it, and EA's like...it's too hard...we can't do 30 FPS...
