Played about an hour of the first game and sent it back to GameFly pretty unsatisfied. Can number 2 wash the bitter taste of the first one out of my mouth? Would be nice.
I could care less if this game goes multi plat or not, I'll be too busy on my second or third play-through of God of War 3. No disrespect to the Splinter Cell franchise, it can hold its own, but the PS3 certainly doesn't "need it."
I'm an avid believer in every game should be multiplatform so to put a fork in these dead horse "OMFG, 360/PS3 loses exclusive" posts.
I feel sorry for you and your friend, seriously. If you found the GoW series THAT boring then you truly have no video game sense. You sir, are a big time minority as far as being a gamer is concerned.

Here's how I see it, you're only watching 8 minutes out of a 10-12 hour game. This video simply gave me what I craved, and now I will sleep well at night having a real good idea what to expect. It may not be some peoples bag and the element of surprise may be what they crave. All I'm saying is, this game is going to kick players in the teeth when they pop this baby in.
I caved in and I watched it, not disappointed that it was spoilerish but just more pumped up for the 16th. I've been craving for GoW3 media since E3 and this just left me wanting more.
I do refuse, however, to watch anymore beyond this point. The 16th isn't that far away. This game is destined for great things and I can't wait till it blows the top off the gaming world.
I'm trying my hardest not to watch it any further. I'll watch a bit and then pause it, I need to just close it completely.
This game looks amazing, not sure why everyone keeps trying to tempt us so much with the continued release of vids!
I think GameSpot stuck it out longer than myself and 3 of my buddies did. I got into the 30's and simply just got BORED. 4 years ago..yeah, cannot agree more, I recall drooling over the vids posted way back when. Kept curious about the game until recently, feels more like a myth than something of actuality. When I met my current gf I was too deep into the gaming scene to be swayed (Prime old school WoW days). Sorry but unless action games all start to include some type of female protagonist with a hair outfit and extremely colorful/outrageous ability effects I simply will not be interested. I mean c'mon, EDGE gave the game a perfect 10. All the sheep need to heed the call and play it and love it more than any other hack and slash game of 2010.

Sci-Fi or Fantasy you say? I heard this game called The Old Republic is already undertaking that role (same with basically every other MMO). This is just me forecasting an opinion here, but a brand new and never heard of before universe competing with an extremely well established and widely known one seems sort of flimsy. Dead Space was a glorious addition to the gaming community. I'll continue to have fond memories of it, wish I could say the same for their Wii contribution. Dead Space 2 can only be better, and by large strides. I'm hella excited for this, and perhaps some Mirror's Edge continuation.
This game would've been solid had they never shifted focus away from just a controller. I'll always remember Tony Hawk games for what they once were, not what they have become.
I just recently stumbled upon the amazing game that is Residen Evil 4 a few weeks ago and rented it for the Wii. I beat it and I've never felt more satisfied with a game. Downloaded the RE5 demo for the PS3 and I have no doubt that I'm going to play the full game and enjoy it greatly.
If you didn't enjoy Resident Evil 4 or maybe didn't even play it then chances are you will not like this game. /sadface
