SE was definitely at some point a clear target for Microsoft. There worth 5.9 billion though so even Sony could grab them. Square Enix also gutted there western studios to make them more of a "japanese" game supplier primarily which effectively helps Sony in acquiring.
Lord Phill will not tolerate this disrespect to xbox gamers from Sonys manipulation of revenue stream based entirely on exclusive content and marketing.
He will just seize Activision for xbox and call it a day.

Sony thought they could pull another SFV situation on Xbox. Thanks to Lord Phil being in charge they bet on the wrong horse. It is clear Sony`s actions are a precursor to were Xbox is today.

Lord Phil conquest is built on the deep servitude to us xbox gamers. I think thats a personal issue you brought up that is easily remedied by making a select purchase at your local retailer.
