At the price point it is being offered at I do NOT feel it is underpowered but native 4k will truly struggle on this system. Im betting though most people won't be able to tell too much of a difference with the upscaling to 4k and native 4k unless they had a side by side comparison.
I've read everything Tad Williams has done. I can't wait to play as my own Orlando!!!
You can play the Alpha of Star Citizen right now and its better than No Man's Sky empty gameplay. Oh yeah, you can play it with other people too.
Ran fine on my PC at 4k. Not trolling. Just I was surprised at how well it worked given the first two were extremely buggy even at lowest settings when they first launched.
I agree. This is dumb this is even a news article. I don't think these people realize the overwhelming majority of us just think that people like this author are just looking for reasons to be upset or offended about something.
You'd be able to make much better looking games running at 1080p with higher frame rates on the new systems than 4k. But damn it man, after playing 4k on my PC for a couple months now... it'd be hard to go back. 4k itself does make things look hella better.
I bought a cheap True 4k Sceptre 43" TV from walmart online for $250- shipped! Its not too early. They're dirt cheap.
Who is complaining? I haven't read anything about there being some great outcry. You're always going to have a few idiots/trolls. Why is this news? It is like saying the sky is blue.
If what we've read is true its simply giving the gamers a choice to upgrade but games will still work on both systems. One just has its in game visual fidelity settings a bit lower. I don't see how this is screwing over anyone. You're still gonna get to play your game. But you have the option of playing it on an upgraded platform should you choose to do so.
I just plug in an Xbox360 or Xbox1 controller to play these types of games. The default control scheme for Dark Souls on PC is harder than the game itself lol.
But as far as problems upon release they're all ironed out rather quickly. And now that the games are being made solely for x86 systems I am betting most of the problems of the past will not be present in the future.
Sorry, I knew that but I miss-typed. I meant Phyre, not havok. PhyreEngine or something like that? Anyway, it doesn't matter. I was just curious. Thought maybe it was the same as previous games but now that I think about it I do remember reading somewhere that DS2 ran on a different engine, but DS3 uses the same engine as DS2/Bloodbourne.
@CoNn3r_b - I play Dark Souls on PC just fine. They did have some issues at launch (something NOT exclusive to the PC) but they patched it and it works just fine within a month or so of launch.
Also- just to prove my point, go to twitch and watch the myriad of players playing the game on the PC without anything but default installation just fine.
Isn't it the same Havok engine they've always used? (going all the way back to DS1?)
Im playing on PC, and it is in fact the best looking game I've played on PC. Maybe your console looks similar in graphics among that list of games though.
Best looking game I've played to date? Yes. Boring as all hell within a weeks time? Yes.
Trench Warfare!
Make it less like Halo next time please.
They make a lot of money on the PC platform. And I'm sure their eventual strategy is to move away from consoles period and go strictly PC. (which will happen eventually, just not today)
Not true. The market decided these prices. They would not put a game up for sale that was already selling well and purposefully lose a profit. The consumer has devalued games because they refuse to purchase a game at full price unless they feel the game is actually worth that.
PC gaming has the largest "exclusive" library. And top quality? You mean AAA titles? They have a lot of those too. Just not the ones you are playing obviously. Not saying you should think the PC has better exclusives than say, Sony's The Last of Us, but if you like games like Star Citzen, RTS games like StarCraft, MOBAs like LoL or Dota 2, or several other games like Engless Legends, the many different types of Warhammer games spanning all genres then you know the PC is where yo...
