Not being able to afford a next gen console or not being able to find one because of scalpers is hardly selfish..
So some people that have moved on to so called next gen want to just pull the rug out from the folks that haven't, how selfish. By that standard all games should be made only for PC, because the consoles are holding them back.
Scalpers still own most of them.

I doubt you can tell the difference between 4k and 1440p on a screen 32" or smaller and 1440p is amazing at 120hz, at least on consoles that support it.
Game pass is easily the best service in gaming.

In all likelihood people wouldn't have purchased the game no matter if it was on a subscription or not. I personally purchase lots of games that are on game pass, so I don't think your analysis holds much water. Sales over subscriptions? Give me demos day one then.

The people here that hate on the Xbox in article after article is frankly getting a little old. Competition is a good thing and benefits consumers, yet the zealots here would take that away, imagine the price of games and consoles if there were only one brand.
Release all the maps and game modes for Portal and maybe throw in BF4 for all our trouble and I'm good, screw 2042.
