Plus lead console is not taking into account here. If a PS5 is the lead console best believe they will be taking advantage then scaling back to run on slower SSD.
Plus this is rich coming from MS' Xbox division who are known for dropping support for their current gen to move on to the next gen.
MS is making this big a deal about old games because this is the only area they can say without question. As of now anyway, next week could make this statement Irrelevant. However while it's nice but it's not a huge deal for most people. Having BC for the PS4/XB1 gen is very important but beyond that is just a nice touch and nothing more.
