Wow this sounds like someone drank some pretty strong haterade when they wrote this article. I still love how people say that DLC will replace physical media but they're forgetting a enormous hurdle: People want to have something physically that they can say is theirs. Most of the general public would prefer to have an optical disc or some physical form factor than movies being stored on a drive. Hell most common users don't even back up their HD's so why would they keep their movie collectio...
It's about time. I've got to start polishing up so I can write my FAQ for this on day one.
I'd be surprised if the PS3 beat the 360 this holiday season in the US. I'm pretty sure it'll edge the PS3 but nowhere near the margin that it did last year. Worldwide sales are a different story and I think the PS3 will edge the 360 in that respect.
For those who have been waiting to get a 360 there won't be a much better time than this(or maybe christmas)
Yeah I think you are overestimating the power of a JRPG in the US. It will definitely help in Japan though. The price cut should move more systems. I would be surprised if Sony doesn't counter this with something, and if they don't then I would extremely surprised if the 360 gets outsold by the PS3 for September.
What's even more surprising than the spying is that 1)you people didn't already know this 2)Some of you actually believe that this isn't a common practice among companies trying to find new ways to reach customers. Why does this surprise any of you?
Judging from your first post it sounded like the PS4 was going to be a replica of the PS3 and not that big of an upgrade. I guess that's where I got confused. I can apply your logic for the upgrades of the X720 to a PS4. If the PS4 is that much more powerful than the PS3 and had a faster Blu-Ray drive and bigger RAM, wouldn't that be considered a big enough upgrade for PS3 owners? I'll definitely agree with you on Moore's law though. And just because they release the PS4 doens't mean they hav...
Let's see how well they can apply this and the Home concept in total. I like the idea but I want to see how everything is going to gel together.
What would the X720 have that would be considered as a significant upgrade from the 360? I don't quite understand your logic. The same way people are buying PS3's now after having a PS2 for so long, they will flock to the PS4 as long Sony continues to put out quality titles.
And I'm sure there are many other pellets for them to eat before they're done.
I don't think there is any doubt about the lifespan of the PS3. Looking at what they did the PS2 bodes well for fans of the PS3, as they will continue to see support for the console well into the future.
100% agreed. Although most people who have a PS3 already know how long the console will last.
Why are people getting so bent out of shape over this? It's really not that serious.
Agreed. I think alot of people are losing or lost sight of that simple fact.
I think alot of people are losing sight of the important fact that Namco is a business and they would make more money if the game came out on both consoles. Remember the more money they make, the more they can put to game development.
I think I can safely speak for a large majority of gamers when I say WTF is Sony doing?!!!! I don't know how they let this slip but they are really getting out of hand with letting their good exclusive franchises go mutliplat. Mad props to MS for pulling this off, much respect!!!
I rarely use my Wii but i'll damn sure be playing this though. For those of you not old enough to remember gaming before the graphics took over, look back and try to appreciate the gameplay. I actually prefer the game in 8-bit. If would be sweet if they made the game hard as hell also.
I'll actually agree with Kevin on this one. By looking at the improvements I will say that this Madden has the Potential to be fantastic and avoid all the hate that the series has recieved as of late.
Yeah. I wrote my Offseason FAQ for 08 on the PS2 and got numerous emails about stuff I mentioned not being in the next gen versions. That should be one of the first tings they fix.
Yeah this is great news but it'll happen again, i'm sure of it. Maybe not with T2 but with another company with a penchant for making quality games.
