He might be right, but why would anyone ever say "The next thing we make is going to be slightly worse than our last product". Of course the next product is always aimed to be better.

It's interesting to me how Larian is hailed as doing exactly what gamers want in the industry, and Hasbro has the exact opposite.
I think Larian should partner up with Paizo (Pathfinder) if they can. Both companies seem to have a way more ethical business practise than Hasbro.
I think that's a good assumption, but that's what I was referring to. It's an assumption. If someone comes with hard data, we need the complete picture. The way it sits now we might draw the right conclusions, but we've proven nothing.

No, the lawsuit is because Sony takes a 30% cut AND games are not sold via different (online) stores. Just the 30% is not the issue here. It's the combined practise of not being able to buy the games anywhere but on Sony's store, and then they charge 30% for it.
Steam takes 30% but you can buy keys and "physical copies" (often just boxes containing Steam keys) via different retailers, making it a more competitive marketplace.
Watched the trailer, read the article. How you get either Settlers or Civilization from this is beyond me. To me it doesn't look anything like those titles..

I really wish "free-to-play" got a different name. Because, yeah, you can play (part of) the game for free, but then they hypercharge you for DLC. Nearly 1000 credits to get all the DLC? Damn.
