If that's what the site calls an in depth review I can't imagine what the normal ones look like.
You probably expected this to be another one of those 360 vs PS3 comparisons.
ArmA 2 looks a lot better
People pirate games that are primarily played for multiplayer?
Tell a developer you only rented or bought a used copy of their game, and see how much they like that too considering they don't get any money from it either. Call Of Duty has a big fairly casual and MP focused community. People buy these games because they play them from the multiplayer for one. And secondly the base of the game are made up of a lot of people who don't even know how to pirate a game.
Between not the developers not mentioning the PC version even exists, the price hike, and now this. My hype for MW2 has been killed from the already tiny amount I had.
@Baka-akaB
You didn't even get 2/3 of those titles correct for one thing. Next, they've been developing games since 1997. That's not a first time developer in any stretch of the means.
The graphics look like World In Conflict.
That's what I thought when I saw this too. Is there really no standard of quality in the articles on here?
Japan is a fairly expensive country to live in. Things made there aren't cheaply made.
Why would someone pay an extra $100 for some glow in the dark scuba goggles?
If HR Giger were dead that gorilla alien would make him spin in his grave.
After Doom 3 all I expect ID to do now are fairly above average singleplayer focused FPS games. Really the best FPS they did for it's time was Return To Castle Wolfenstein, which had a great singleplayer campaign and multiplayer. The problem was ID Software wasn't the one who did all of the development of it. Before that Quake 3 was probably a close second, which had no SP really. ID should get back to doing what they do well, MP focused titles.
Louie Anderson means GOTG
talk about too little too late
you don't just flip a magic switch and say "port to console" you have to recompile the game's code for one and then you have to change assets to fit memory management.
Eurogamer's English site got a lot of flack for only reviewing the game as a 360 one even though it was confirmed awhile ago that the 360 version was an outsourced port and it had control/graphics issues. Oddly enough that's what the review complained about mostly. If you look on Metacritic too the PC has an 80 average and the 360 version has a 60.
AF doesn't make low resolution textures high resolution
It's designed around console limitations, do you really expect it to look as good as Arma 2 or something?
It's a shooter. It's not known as well and doesn't stand out that well against COD4. Killzone 2 also if you remember reportedly had a budget of over 60 million dollars. Meaning 2 million copies sold isn't profitable for it.
