I got an Xbox with Kinect for 285 at BestBuy
Kinects main technology issue is bandwidth; a usb cable is simply not enough to give it more.
in-order to do it 1080 with processing functions beyond just imaging you need a bigger pipe - USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt 400-600mb will solve it. (on the next system)
Kinects best thing is - it will evolve with time and MS has a patent on it and its differentiating technologies.

I personally think the handheld market is not winnable for Sony or Nintendo I think as mobile phones iphone and android become stronger with tegra 3s etc, there isnt a need for the massive handhelds
MS was smart to avoid it -
SONY - Even though I think its not winnable they have the best chance
Nintendo - their windows is closing other than their IPs they cant compete with the app world as it getting larger by the day

Seriously I learned my lesson, i bought oblivion on my PS3 which I love until the stupid vampire bug screwed me and then I found out it was only on PS3.
Do yourself a favor not only DONT buy a game like this when it comes out, wait for the GOTY editions with all DLC content and patches are out and get it on the platform with the least iss...
Def If I had to rate the best 3 games this year it would be
