Game's looking decent so far, been waiting for this. My PC will be ready, whenever i actually receive my 3080.
Well it seems parents think it's acceptable to let their little kid in mature online games these days, adult content aside they are knowingly letting their kid learn filth among other much worse stuff from trolls and morons with mental issues. Each to their own but it's getting worse.. not sure what's wrong with parents tbh letting a very immature kid into that kind of environment.
You're going to need a 3080 if you want those frames, at least at 1440p anyway. 4k won't be too pretty (i mean frame rate wise)
You need a 3080 to get decent performance even at 2560 x 1440, i saw that coming though.
Eh tbh I've never seen what all the hype was about with this game, it's a bit like Star Wars, never really been that into it, yet people praise it nearly all the time. Either way people still get carried away by thinking 7's and 8's are bad scores and something has got to rank 9 or 10 before they even give it a look. Very strange behaviour IMO. Difference of opinion and taste also means one person's score can differ from another person.
3060Ti needed to match/exceed PS5. Looks like a 3080 is needed to get numbers in the high 70's @ 1440p according to other benchmarks
Yep, I sold my extra one to them recently, if you go on eBay there's a small risk.. and even with the £1 fees you still have paypal fees so maybe get another 70 quid or so max, if you don't get screwed over.
I wouldn't buy from them though for the most part unless they had something for a good price, they give peanuts for many things and sell for much more.
eBay is usually safe but depends if you want a small chance of getting scammed.
I've seen some pop up through discord notifications, but they usually go very quickly, seen 2 different 3080 cards pop up over the last few days listed at Amazon which were actually decently priced, most are overpriced though. Only way of getting one any time soon is either joining a queue (wouldn't recommend it) or waiting on a stock alert and being quick enough. Otherwise it's probably at least 2-3+ months before decent availability.

There's not much speed difference between the 3080 and 3090, if 3080Ti going to bring anything noticeable it will be more vram and a little more speed at best. I'm not sure what to think of the whole 10GB being enough thing, cutting it close but should be fine for the majority of games at least until next gen Hopper in 2 years, though some have started calling DF Nvidia shills after this video.
Even if 10GB isn't enough for a handful of games at 1440p and 4k bet...
Controllers are fine for many games, but i need my kb & mouse for anything like strategy, first person shooters, point and click, management/theme park style building games.
Considering you'll need a high end PC for decent FPS in titles like Cyberpunk @ 1440p it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to know that Series S isn't really a 1440p console, in some less demanding games, sure.
Managed to snag a PS5 on Amazon UK on the 19th and got it delivered yesterday as a backup order to one from Very. Surprised as it seems they sold out really fast.
I'm mostly a PC gamer but interested in some of the exclusives for the PS5 so it will be really good for that. I won't be using it for first person shooters tho as i love kb & mouse way too much for that.
Have to admit (reviews aside) gameplay videos look very good. Might have to pick up a PS5 for a few exclusives like this

Actually, even early consumer SSD's increased game load speed a hell of a lot compared to HDD even in 2008/2009. We have newer faster drives now, yet the load speed increases have been kind of incremental since the earlier drives. The only difference/advantage consoles have now is that games are being optimised to load from fast SSD's which makes load times better again.

I cannot go without KB & mouse for shooters now and some other types of games like management sims, plus the extra smoothness of high hz 1440p without having to cut back on the gfx if i want a super smooth 90 or 120+fps. Then there's other stuff you can run that you can't on consoles. Plus I'll want the sequel to Garry's mod called S&Box which should be really fun for multiplayer and seeing what kind of new game modes there will be.
They literally just posted details of the screen and that's it, i think there was already news of this.
This looked impressive when i saw the benchmark run in video, i think they tested with a 3080 and still only managed mid 40's FPS range (minimums as far as i remember) at 1440p.
