it doesn't match you with the best server. coz if it did, i live in france, and was getting matched with plenty of americans. some were bouncing and stuttering all over the place. i'll still be getting the full game, no doubt it will list the EU servers and their ping so i can avoid transatlantic gaming.....which is the worst thing that can happen when playing on-line imo.
apart from that, the helicopters are hard to handle. but i'm sure i will become good in them like i was in...

halo multi-player lived up to the hype. but the campaign didn't imo. although i'm beggining to think the gta4 was the most overhyped game since the getaway!

i'm 32, and i grew up with nintendo and sega mate! sony came to the party late!
i've had nearly every console in existence through the years. except the neo geo, msx jaguar and a few others....i've yet to get a ps3 aswell.
on my friends list, the oldest guy is in his 50's(and he can play pretty good aswell, but his 20year old son is better!), and the youngest is 19. a freind of the family who knows i have a 360. the average age of my friend list is easily late 20s early ...

before i read the article, i browsed through some of the posts. just by reading the first ten replys i realised that they had obviously voted the 360 pad somewhere high up, and had overlooked the ps3 pad..lol
the 360 d-pad doesn't work very good at-all, but considering it's hardly used, it's something i can live with. imo the 360 pad is the best pad ever! i just hope microsoft do a sony, and use it for every coming gen of console. it fit's the hand lovely, and the staggered thumbst...

jack meahoffer does have a point though. and i know it's a bitter pil to swallow for some of the people on here. but sony after the last two consoles should already have surpassed microsoft, and should be closing the gap on nintendo. instead, they have been slaughtered in japan by nintendo, and have been double penetrated in NA...only in europe do they have something to smile about...albeit...
i know people who've had a few consoles, but then i know plenty who haven't. doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist because it clearly does.
although, my first premium, over two years old and still going strong. has seen more than a few 14+hour gaming sessions without respite! same with the friends who have indulged in those sessions aswell. my elite has done a few 6+ hour gta sessions aswell. and the other day did a 10hour gear day aswell.

whilst you are correct that they have a few bil to recoup, the division is now profitable, and will continue to generate profit until they have to put their hands intheir pockets to subsidise new hardware.
after the initial investment to get where they are today, they will not leave the console business anytime soon. i think microsoft see this thing as a marathon rather than sprint or race. i would bet that they plan to be about 10-15 years in the red, before they have finally made...
