It took me a while to figure out each of the classes, but once I got them down I was really enjoying myself.
The predator far and away exceeds in taking down aliens. A head to head clash will always result in the predator winning. Once they have their mini-saw launcher, they are a force to be reckoned with.
The human is all about defense: letting the enemy come to them and making them suffer for a head-on assault. that said you really have to know your environment ...

...and I can tell you that the improvements are massive. There's no need to put the first on a pedestal when it really isn't as good as you remember. As far as decisions go, your choices can lead to the death of your entire squad, so I'd say they have some weight.
I'm a huge fan of bioware games (been following them since KOTOR) and even I was willing to criticize some major problem areas of that game. Yet it still got RPG of the year from a bunch of sites.

Cuz my PC (laptop) sucks and I don't feel like dropping close to 500 bucks for a rig capable of playing games.
The controls are super tight on the 360 with the ability to change your hotkeys to LB, RB, or Y for your powers, and in several cases, I've heard of people with lower end mouses having issues, especially in regard to the hacking minigames.
As long as it comes down to people having the opportunity to experience this fantastic title, that's what counts.
