I like shorter AA games including the original Hellblade (even though the combat was super repetitive for such a short game). I don’t like a 7 minute video that basically serves as an ad for the game.
At an individual game level, too many releases at the same time will hurt a game’s sales.
At the level of all games sales, spending has gone down since the pandemic. However, this isn’t the normal cycle of spending going up and down. Playing on PS5. Currently level 5 and seeing a lot of other new players. This is a good sign. Matchmaking is decent. Quickplay will find a squad in about a minute. Playing with randos is hit and miss. Not a lot on mics. Not a lot of my friends list are into Helldivers.
I don’t think Microsoft is releasing games exclusively on Xbox anymore. They have some timed exclusives that release on Xbox first.
