4k is not needed...Sony should focus on 1080p 60 frames, and their online network, rework their UI, take away the long updates, eliminate mandatory installs, and maybe just maybe charge 20 bucks for online play if they need income. Keep the bluray and 3D capabilities. In conclusion, just keep it simple, dont try to innovate so much, just make sure they come out with a very capable console, easy enough to code for so issues like skyrim dont happen again
IMO we dont need "next gen" from the games perspective, but i definately would love to play these same games in1080p, 8x antialiasing, higher framerates....i would be just fine with a PS3 "Ultimate" that could run these games with those specs rather than a whole new gen
3DS games get high scores because they actually look like their console counterpart...LMAO!!!!

The gamestop i go to (Puerto Rico) received their demo kit yesterday and let me tell you it's awesome, i played Uncharted's demo, but the game that impressed me the most was Virtua Tennis, the game ran at 60 fps and look ultra clear, the vita is lighter than the psp and thinner, not as big as some sites make it out to be. 3 people other than me pre-ordered right there after seeing it. Can't wait!!!
I agree with what you say but like it or not the North American market is the one that is calling the shots this gen and that market is dominated by 360 by a wide margin so devs just focus on 360 first, so this translates into inferior PS3 games and it will continue till next gen. The year head start for 360 proved to be crucial in game development, it gave 360 the market share they needed and it gave developers more time to work with the console and create a preference towards it. Hate?...not, i would call it disappointment. I used to be a PS3 loyalist but lately I've realize that the PS3 isn't the "best" console to program for. The split RAM IMO is the Achilles heel of the system. I've started to buy all my multiplats on the 360 and they in fact look a lot more polished most of the time. I hate the Xbox Live fee but i'm also a graphics whore so i always look for the best graphics on CONSOLE since i'm not a PC gamer even though i know that has the best graphics. I'm going to sett...

Year for multiplats on the PS3 since 2007...Bayonetta, RDR, Mafia II, Bioshock 2, Dead Rising 2, Enslaved, NBA 2K11 and counting...only a few multiplats have been worth it on the PS3...Bad Company 2, Castlevania and Vanquish.
Is it possible for sony to release a revamped PS3 with unified memory and a better GPU to help developers without screwing the installbase?

then you don't know squat about basketball. After playing 2K11 how can you say NBA Elite isn't bad. Graphics are horrible, animations are last gen and when boozer dunks with 2 hands from the free-throw line then you know something is wrong. If you like arcade basketball then you might enjoy Live/Elite. But EA has to stop promoting this series as a simulation basketball game because it's not. 2K is at least 5 years ahead of EA on basketball. EA needs to start over from scratch star...
