-It's Killzone 3, people. The developers actually planned on making a PSP game (that they hadn't started yet at the time) to be released before this game. Yes, it's stupid to announce "3" when "2" isn't even in the works, but they did it.
-And Japan's getting 1/4th the units of the US? Way to support your home market, Sony. Microsoft may have just baited Sony into the most dangerous territory of all- focusing harder...
So PS3 gets another mediocre JRPG title to add to the works. That's up to only, what, 200? Heh.

This isn't even really a "new piece of art" as people are reading it. What the newspost misses is that this piece if art is actually a product that's going to be available on the Bungie online store (basically a high-res poster). So this isn't about the game at all.
So this shouldn't even be a news story at all.
On another note, it's an old bit but I'll say it again- if Halo 2 sucks so bad, how come it's never left (to my knowledge) the #1 spot on Xbox ...

The screens look amazing, and the potential here is incredible. Sure, success isn't likely, but I'll tkae my chances.
The coolest part is the possibility for downloadables- the team has rumored that they might make famous battles downlodable so you can play a part in them (like Wolf-359 for you nerds out there).
A lot could go right, so I'll cross my fingers.
The problem is that Microsoft and Sony both lobbied to shut down e3- and for good reason. Not many people ever heard about it. I've worked two seperate game retail stores in the past, and maybe 5% (being VERY generous) of even the game-playing populace know about e3 (and care).
Sure, it's cool for us hardcore gamers... but all that wasted development time and advertisimg money spent really doesn't translate into sales like smaller shows might. Financially, nuking e3 was smart. ...

Madden is the most-played game on EVERY console, EVERY single time a new Madden comes out. It's not just 360.
Plus, technically, Halo 2 would still top that list if they combined everything.
Dead Rising is basically the #1 Xbox 360 title out there right now. The only way DR2 will be PS3 exclusive will be if Capcom has decided that they don't like money, and would rather make less of it.
Capcom just can't be that stupid- if anything, DR2 should be totally multiplatform. It would make a great Wii game- I'd love to actually flick my wrist to lob CDs at the zombies. Heh. "Ka-chaaa!"
Sony's been trying to tell me how revolutionary- not to mention necessary to the future of enterainment- HDMI and 1080p are for YEARS now, slamming Xbox 360 for passing up those technologies. One PS3 doesn't do 1080p (other news item today), and neither have HDMI cables.

Duke Nukem 3d was awesome, and really broke down a lot of doors in its day. Respect it at least for olde time's sake.
But the idiots responsible for screwing hte poch need to hang up their hats and sell this franchise to more capable people. I'm sorry, (not naming names), but you just can't hack it when it comes to this title. Give it up.

Not only are they having technical problems (see recont story on hardware manufacturing problems/shortages, Australian BD drives proving current personal computers aren't compatible with BD yet, etc)...
But look at the reviews of movies themselves. A few sites have put BluRay and HD-DVD side-byside when the same titles have released on both platforms. And HD-DVD has better or same picture, MUCH better sound (through licensing issues I think), and Sony's use of MPEG-2 and dual-l...
Plus, out of that 20%, how many are going to have HDMI hookups and true 1080p resolution?
And Blue Laser shortages? Who saw that one coming? Months ago? Heh.
"Play our game system" is a better slogan. In fact, "Don't play our game system" is still even better due to the possible reverse psyhcology.
