game was Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Part 1 will always be a classic. Part 2&3 were really good. Part 4 was just average. Every one after that pretty much sucked IMO.

What difference would that make? There are already arcade units out there without a hard drive.

The only reason that Microsoft sells the arcade unit is for the casual crowd. The kind of people who don't care about downloading a lot of media. That is why it comes with a memory unit.

You can still access Xbox Live without the HDD. The casual crowd most likely doesn't care about such features.

Does the Wii have a hard drive? Seems like the sytem with ...

The thing that has always made the Street Fighter series so great has always been the gameplay. It seems Capcom has stayed true to it's roots because all of the old combos seem to work in Street Fighter 4 that worked in it's 2D predecessors even with the transition to 3D. At least from what I have seen through videos.

After Mortal Combat 4 Midway dropped the whole fighting engine to the Mortal Kombat series. IMO every rendition after part 4 hasn't even felt like an MK title. ...

These are pictures of current dev kits being used by a college for game design.

Just read post #6 by ksmooches on this thread...

is better than Street Fighter, MK, or KI series. You are entitled to your opinion. But those three franchises are legends of fighting game genre. Guity Gear and Samurai Shodown are also phenomenal fighting games.

3D is good but 2D will always be king for fighting games IMO.

is best of MK franchise IMO. Second best is Ultimate MK3. I did not like auto-combo sytem in MK3 but run button was a nice addition. Classic MK is all about air juggles and creating your own combos IMO.

All these games are timeless classics. I have always been a big fan of the Street Fighter series and the spinoffs. MK 1&2, Killer Instinct 1&2, and Samurai Shodown will always be great.

Capcom and SNK are great producers for fighting titles. Two of my favorites. I can't wait for Killer Instinct 3.

I am glad they are still separate. GamesRadar posts a lot of interesting articles. Also they get a lot of previews first. Usually IGN and GamesRadar are good for previews.

Half-Life, Doom, and Halo are in top spot. They are all great franchises. I agree with listing for the most part.

that you won't be able to post GamesRadar news on N4G anymore? Or will they still be 2 separate entities?

Street Fighter 2 Turbo is the greatest fighting game of all time. Mortal Kombat 2 should be tied for 2nd with Killer Instinct.

I am glad to see a Samurai Shodown game on the list though. Part 2 was the best one IMO.

because he has the 3 hit flaming dragon punch. Also his hurricane kick doesn't knock the opponent down so you can get some really nice 2 in 1 air combos on the taller characters like Sagat and Zangief.

My goal is to get you down to 1 bubble since you feel the need to troll posts with your obnoxious comments. If you have nothing nice to say why bother.

And in regards to Alan Wake being shown I am really excited. Microsoft had stated previously that they haven't revealed their full line up for this year, so maybe it will be released around the holidays.

silly me I always thought the threads were supposed to be used to comment about the article. Not to be used to insult other members of N4G. Especially in the gamerzone.

It is kind of sad that somebody is so emotionally attached to their console that you just can't get over it. Next time I will try and lift myself up to your level so I can be a more positive role model for others.

I suggest you read this.......

what the big deal is. They won't use it for all their games. Capcom makes a lot of 2D games...etc.

However, Capcom did state a while back that their new focus is going to be multiplat development. Maybe this is part of that initiative.

And for those who disagree...read it for yourself.

looking foward to Fable 2. I really like the art style. It kind of reminds me of Lord of the Rings.

is made up of studios they have bought. The only thing is they bought them back during the PS1 era. One of my favorite developers ever is Psygnosis. The studio that makes Wipeout. They used to develop games for the Commodore Amiga back in the day: Shadow of the Beast & The Killing Game show.

Whether a company buys a studio or just hires the people from it, it is the same end result. The only difference is through purchasing you gain rights to the orignal IPs.

it would be a great business move if Microsoft purchased Epic and Sega. All of Sega's IPs plus the Gears of War franchise and the Unreal Engine would definately bolster Micros 1st party lineup.
