Bethesda is the only studio to release anything noteworthy on Xbox. Take Bethesda out and they have nothing this Gen. Hifi Rush and Starfield are probably their two biggest hits.

They bought up Park Place, Boardwalk, and all the Railroads, now people are angry as the crooked banker controls the board.

Nothing good ever happens when you let a corporation have complete control, annd don’t get it twisted, this is as close to a Monopoly of an industry I’ve ever seen. M$ are going to cut cut cut costs to maximize profits, they don’t care about what IP you want to play. They only care about which one will make the most money and cost the least to make.

Crazy that fans wanted the Zenimax/Activision sale to go through. People were rooting for it and Xbox fans were excited. This is the Fallout, pun intended; of course there is position redundancy when you own so many studios.

The sad truth is M$ buying up the industry was the start of fewer people developing more games. This is how they make money people, lowering costs while owning more of the pie.

Gta6 is enough to warrant a purchase, usually get the invite to direct order through Sony but my ps plus has lapsed not holding my breath on that happening. I might re-subscribe just to be sure lol, these pro consoles like everything Sony niche will be near impossible to purchase for first 8 months at least. Especially with a holiday release it is scalpers delight.

My dream was DreamsVR and creating landscapes, characters, and sculptures using that amazing toolbox in vr, that would have been something imo.

No, every Xbox game that releases is in Beta but it’s okay bc Gamepass. After a year of patches the game officially launches, Starfield just came out of Beta. I’ll buy Xbox at the end of the generation and all the games will finally be “complete” and a fraction of the price.

I will buy one this generation as I’m a gaming junkie, still waiting on the games

Road Rash was crack on the 3DO. I remember many hours playing Slam n Jam with friends, this game was also not possible on 16 bit and a loose arcade port of Run n Gun. Amazing game.

Also, Starfield and Return Fire were amazing too. They should release any of these games instead of whatever those games are in this article lol.

I went from playing Mortal Kombat, Starship Heroes and Earthworm Jim on Genesis to that amazing version of Road Rash, Night Trap, and Sewer Shark. The game that came with the 3DO, Crash and Burn, was also super underrated. It had a better version of Madden than the 16 but consoles and a superior FIFA too that made the 3DO the envy of all my friends back then. I still have it! Neo Geo was the rich kid console, I sold my Genesis and Sega CD to pay for the 3DO and didn’t regret it one bit. Then ...

More proof you should never buy day one, especially on that console, it is sad how they’ve treated their fans this generation.

They hype and tease products but fail to deliver mediocrity at a time in the industry where the playing field is more level than ever and most games score a 7 or 8.

This was a disgusting money grab to not only put out what they knew was an inferior product, but to then offer more expensive versions for the “real fans” is a rip o...

Congrats Bethesda on finishing development on Starfield!

This is why Fallout next gen release was meh, hopefully this is worth it.

I’m ASSuming we’ll see a copycat or two soon.

Yawn, we’ve been hearing this for years, but I still buy games on the cheap— Games stay at $70 for about three months unless it’s Nintendo or a huge release like BG3. Why pay full price when you know it’ll be cheaper and a better game in just a few months. These devs push it out the door now and patch later, often you are paying full price for a product that isn’t finished.

Add in the price for DLC (which would have been part of the game years ago) and the price is even hi...

Plus is too expensive so I let it expire months ago, now I’m waiting for a “good” month to pull me back in. Not holding my breath and not sure why as I’m a single player type gamer. These games aren’t tempting me and for the price I’d rather just buy the games than pay for Plus access. FC was under $20 and if you wait for sales you can buy all those games for less than the monthly rate of Plus.

I even bypassed the dreaded Cloud save feature with a thumb drive to transfer fo...

Exactly! Nobody is buying it so they give it away and get a little boost of mtx, this is what these glorified rental services gets you

Just like how they fast tracked Halo.

How about fast tracking Fable or Perfect Dark?

These guys have the attention span of a puppy, I can’t imagine strategy meetings over there, they probably change their approach on a daily basis. What happened to Elder Scrolls 6?

Fallout was basically guaranteed to be a hit show, yet look at how the next gen patch was handled—it released late and without hype or fanfare because it was underwhelming...

Skyrim exists so you are wrong, although, that took being re-released 6 times on newer hardware and countless patches, but now it’s a good game.

Yeah, they had so much time and that show budget, holy shit, you’re telling me they had no time to put together a game with how long they knew about the show coming?

Blame Starfield.

36d ago 9 agree1 disagreeView comment

They released it late too, most already finished watching before the patch.

I thought it was a native beefy version but it’s more of a patch. It feels sluggish af still and maybe this is due to input lag? Who knows but the games runs and looks like a last gen game still, so disappointing!

We are actually giving more power to gaming websites and gaming journalists the more consumers hold devs responsible for marketing.

Gaming marketing is in the toilet and this is why, having to give full refunds is a killer to the bottom line, now watch as more games lack advertising and we, as the consumers, have painted devs in a corner where they feel they can’t hype their products. Enter the clickbait hungry game review sites that will be more important than ever to inf...
