Gamers to burst with Vita-lity

It’s true that NIntendo’s 3DS’ launch didn’t quite have the resounding public impact that Nintendo may have hoped for — something that has largely been put down to a poor launch line up of games. Vita, too, has a long road ahead. Its competition won’t be the static console unit like Xbox 360, but a mobile world that updates itself continuously.

Here is my take on it.

Nintendo DS was 150 bucks and what kid didn't want it from their parents? It's demographic is generally the younger ones. Plus gamers buy one eventually for our favorite titles like Mario and Zelda.

Economy is tight and that's why things that are geared towards kids do well. Our kids are still going to get toys especially when the price is right.

Enter the 3DS. 250 bucks in a tight economy. Not many games for the kiddos. Resembles a DS and plays the games. Still many good DS titles out there. Why buy it?

Enter the PSV. 250 bucks and a crap load of titles gamers want. This is the handheld that older gamers want with graphics, controls and at a price range we can swallow.

There are 170 people playing on their Vitas near by according to Near on my Vita. The damn thing

Former Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider pours scorn on EA's AI dreams.

"They want you to believe the devs under them are super stoked to work generative AI into their processes," continued Gaider, "but I assure you what they took as excitement was really a veiled wail of despair not unlike the time that team was informed of their new 'really cool' live service mandate.".

I said this yesterday. AI isn't what we want when it comes to crafting artistry. Alas, these soulless corporate morons don't care about their work, only about cutting corners as much as possible.
