Expanding and improving on the original in every way, The Talos Principle 2 is a brilliant puzzler that's most compelling during conversations with its characters.

Love this game. Which like to see some DLC like Road to Gehenna in the first game.

This game was my GOTY for 2023. The puzzles, the story, the soundtrack ... all top tier. It's a very special game.
It got great reviews (90 on Metacritic) but a lot of authors at gaming outlets who only have a casual interest in puzzle games managed to get away with having to play it.

While 2022's final voting round presented more options, thus implying a wider net of favorite puzzle games from the community, I'd argue those didn't consistently reach the sheer quality seen in 2023. That's not to take away from those finalists' superlative achievements either; hell, making engaging brainteasers is hard enough on its own. But it really says something when even some choices that didn't make this list could still go on to be considered "classics" in due time. So, it says something impressive about the final four that did."
