'Phantom Pain' proves an agonising opponent for all those below it in the charts this week
Grand Theft Auto V was released over 9 years ago, but the player base is largely intact due to regular updates to the Online Multiplayer. The game had some technical issues at launch, most notably a CPU utilization issue, but most recent chips shouldn’t have any issues running it.
George Miller expressed dismay toward the 2015 Mad Max game recently, but Avalanche Studios' take on the lore is still so good to this day.
I think the funny thing is if Kojima made a Mad Max game it would be so trippy and "out there" I don't think it would feel like Mad Max by the time he's done with it. This is why he's better off with original new IPs.
Kojima seems like a buzz word these film directors use because he's probably the only big name they've heard from the gaming industry.
I never played it but the recent buzz around Mad Max has piqued my interest. Will check it out this year for sure
Honestly, Kojima would do the game justice, but given his studio's current workload, it's a bit far flung. I could much rather see Bend Studios (Days Gone dev) doing a Mad Max follow-up. I'm playing through DG right now for the first time and I see lots of similarities between the games to where imo Bend could develop an impressive MM sequel.
While i like the Mad Max game and think it's underrated...i don't know why people are mad at George Miller for not liking the game based on the IP he created. Especially since a lot of people hated it at release as well looking at that 69% metacritic.
Subscribers of the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus will lose access to a total of 12 games during the month of June, 2024.
indivisible was pretty neat. Cute artstyle, fun throwback to older RPGs, shame its leaving but it is on sale often
I'm not surprised by GTA V removal, Rockstar never allows this game to stay long on a subscription service.
They usually allow 4 to 6 months.
I fail to see how the loss of an almost 11 year old game that released across 3 generations is in any way a problem.
Congrats Kojima and Kojima Productions on your masterpiece. May Konami lose all the money they earn on gambling and Pachinkos and then shut down.
I am really glad MGSV/Mad Max/Until Dawn are on top 4 games. We need more new IPs on top.
Idk how to feel about this. On one hand I'm glad Kojima's swansong masterpiece is a big hit, but Komami is raking in all the profits
this game is just too good. Just beat mission 46 and while chapter 2 isn't as good as the first I'd have to say 10/10. I'm liking it even more than The Witcher 3 and that's hard to top.
MGSV = Kojima's masterclass in game development.
Konami is letting this mobile game craze get to their heads. There's a future in mobile games but mgs5 shows there's still a healthy future in console games.
