Yet another leak for the ASUS ROG Ally X points towards as much as 8 hours of battery, but how does that compare to the competition?
Honestly, I really like this updated version. But it doesn't solve the biggest flaw that the original had for me: the Z1 Extreme APU. Yes, it's an extremely powerful part, but it is not part of AMD's Adrenalin driver update program, so it's dependent on Asus for driver updates. And unfortunately, Asus doesn't have a stellar record of support for their devices.
Up to 8 hours basically just means the least demanding games. AAA gaming at highest wattage would probably be about 2-3 hours which is good compared to just about 1 hour with the current ally. The OLED Deck can do about 2-3hrs.
Nope. The only improvements I want to hear is better customer support. Otherwise, I can't be bothered.

Good article but IMO one major display was left out. Not to mention that IPS and other variations of that display technology were not mentioned nor discussed. They can be easy to miss if you don't know about them since manufactures and sellers tend to simply list them as LED for some reason. This is essential since IPS is probably one of the best looking LED display technologies that you can currently purchase.
I just picked up a 47" LG 47LS4500 for $400 (even though I actually only really paid $150 for it!).
This was by far the best TV I found for my PS4/Second monitor for my PC. It's 120hz and it is in fact a S-IPS display so the color contrast/quality and black levels are outrageously good. It's also edge lit so the whole TV is barley over a inch thick.
The screen looks almost as good as my 27" PLS (variation of IPS) monitor. FYI the panel/screen in my PC monitor is the same as the Apple Cinema display that sells for $1k and again that's only for a 27" monitor.
So yea, I believe this TV is the shiznip and by far the best bang for your buck with the ~$400-500 price you can find it for.
The Sony television seems really nice, and I've never had an issue with Vizio either.
I've been hearing good things on both.
Man, I thought digthatbox.com was a totally different website, awesome name though! :D
Sony KDL-42W653 is non 3D version with better black levels and only 16 ms input lag.
Its quite cheap also.
