Finally bought one now that Sony is allowing PC compatibility! That was all I wanted, and now that this deal lined up with that announcement. I had to take the bite. Super excited, as I've never even tried a VR headset before.
I always say this, but please do tell me which significant errors you are referring to! I'd love to hear! I can never find any valid reasons that people hate on it. They just say it sucks without any reasoning whatsoever to back up their opinion lol. The game was better than the first in just about every way. From visuals, to gameplay, to narrative and scope. Pacing issues are the one valid complaint I've heard about it.
All this Hexen talk, and I just started playing them again on Steam. They're still a lot of fun even today! I am loving the idea of medieval Doom though. I am all for it, if this is true!
Yep, spot-on with the hate for Part II. The sequel was better than the first in just about every way other than the pacing around the half way point. None of the vocal haters can seem to point out any actual flaws with it. They just give vague responses like, "the story sucks, I don't like certain political views of the creator, a character I like died so that makes it a bad game."

This is about the PC version of RDR 1. The PC version of RDR 2 doesn't have a frame rate cap. Though I do agree, it is mind boggling that Rockstar still hasn't released a patch for consoles.
It most certainly is the best deal in gaming. It's definitely not GOOD for gaming. But, the value is undisputable right now. I fully expect that value to decrease within the next year or two though. It has never been sustainable. It's only a matter of time.
God, please don't screw this one up Microsoft! I am keeping my expectations super low, but Perfect Dark (the original) holds such a special place in my childhood. I want this to turn out well SO bad.

To be fair, it's not like anyone expected Helldivers 2 to be so successful. So that was not something Foamstars could have predicted. I had Helldivers 2 pre-ordered as soon as I was able. I just really loved the first game. But it felt like hardly anyone even knew the franchise existed before the second game actually released.
What happened to the 30 FPS lock on consoles being a "developer choice"? I refused to touch it on console because of that. I honestly got pretty bored of the game after about 15-20 hours, but maybe I'll go back after a lot of updates. Still sad to see things like the map being fixed, and FPS options that should have been there in the first place. Being added in so much later.
Man, it is perfectly fine to prefer turn based. Turn based is amazing. But there's zero reason to call anyone who likes action games "lil kids". Liking one gameplay system over another does not make you more mature in any way.
