Panda.

Imagine defending microtransactions in a full priced, single player game in 2024. 🙄

Ironic your username is speakthetruth yet you want people to shut up and roll over for greedy monetisation.

Certainly does look like they're slowly but surely going back to that iniaital announcement for the Xbox One.

Only a matter of time before digital check ins crop up and games truly cannot be played offline, at all.

"Victim of misunderstanding"
My god, Capcom pay handsomely, eh?

I typically like Capcom but their "pay to not play" microtransactions seem to be coming into all of their titles.

DMC5 with orbs.

All recent Resi games. You can literally buy weapon upgrades with real world money in RE4.

SF6.

Dragons Dogma 2, where the save system is a good/bad feature BUT for convenience, ...

They tried it before and they'll try it again!

We see evidence everywhere from games with single player modes forcing an online collection: Helldivers being a recent example.

Getting downvotes because it doesn't fit the narrative that boo! Microsoft bad! 😂

True, they're all at it!

Ubisoft recently wanting consumers to be comfortable with not owning their games.

6-7 imo.

Base games on value.
I got 80hrs out of it before I burnt out, <0.70p per hour. Can't go wrong.

They know people will buy it so they don't really care. If the leaked specs are anything to go by, there may be a bit of a bottleneck.

This generation has been wholly underwhelming in terms of performance. 4k120fps printed on retail packaging yet there's only a few games that can achieve that...3 and a half years in, whilst sacrificing detail in other areas.

Some stand outs like Horizon: Forbidden West really do look current gen, but those gems ar...

Average looking game doing nothing new releases to slightly above average reviews. Colour me shocked.

"Didn't they say it was because there was overlap due to the merger? Now it's just business?"

Isn't a merger...a business decision? With the key goal of remaining or increasing profit?

Yes, yes it is - as someone who has worked for a major financial organisation that has undergone two mergers in a short span of time, that is exactly the goal AND there is almost always a degree of restructuring.

"Let me guess y...

To try and insinuate that the criticism is equal on N4G is disingenuous.

Bingo!

They don't support the platform.

It undersold (Sony not releasing figures after the disappointing first wave speaks volumes) then closed down one of their VR studios - they do not care about the platform yet people live in denial.

The denial of Otter and Thor is laughable.

Can't wait to check in sometime in the near future and see if they hold the same die hard view that the PSVR2 is a first party supported platform.

The goalposts are constantly moving depending on what team the game comes from.

Nothing out of the ordinary here.
