The switch is a great system in my opinion even before it came out, when seeing how it was using the 2nd revision of the Nvidia shield hardware, I knew it was going to be a great system.. because the Nvidia shield hardware is infact good hardware.

And yet in Japan Nintendo knows their market just like Microsoft does in the united states. Here is a real difference, both Sony and Nintendo make their games for world wide market, while Microsoft really only makes their games for main The Market of really English speaking gamers mainly..nothing wrong with that but both Sony and Nintendo are more world wide market consoles than the Xbox platform is.

Roku has its very own eco system,amazon use a fork of the Android OS, Apple TV is IOS..so your really not making the case for what your wanting.
Just because they have their own system OS does not mean they are open..there is things on each of those boxes or smart sticks that are.not on the other smart box or smart sticks made.by other companies.
