Good thing it has a non-Roguelike mode, then.
This one shouldn't be sloppy at all. Also, WayForward is the developer, and they're well known for their proficiency in 2D and 2.5D games.
The levels are actually remixed and sometimes new, so it's not a straight remake. For instance, there's a level on hoverbikes that wasn't in the original game.
Operation Galuga actually comes from the same director as Contra 4 and Spidersaurs, Tom Hulett. This one should definitely feel like a real Contra.
Update: Multiplayer has been fixed!
I think they'll bring it to PlayStation and Xbox later on. Seems like the first game didn't launch on everything at the same time.
Update: After our story went live, Funbox informed us that the PlayStation store listing had incorrectly listed the game as being single-player. Rastan Saga IS the original Rastan!
Hear, hear!
Taito is one of the coolest Japanese developers.
Ooh, I love Double Dragon Neon and Jumping Flash.

You'll have to try the game out, then. :D
It will be interesting to see if this leads to cool mods and/or fan games.
That's the spirit!
