I been saying this for years by the time this comes out ps5 game will look better o boy i was right Demon souls make this game look outdated. F even Civerpunk77 which looks late current gen look better on on par with this graphically comparable.
I guess space games will be huge nextgen gen and sony has Santa Monica and Nauthy Dogs working on a space game oh and sony Japan also has a space ip. Im sure any of this will put this on shame.

They took way to long to finish it 2 late and outdated by the time this comes out.

Nobody knows if i canceled or not rumors are it was canceled but you never know and even if it was that doesn't mean they aren't working on a new ip similar theme but better idea. Even through i would like them to work on a open world rpg inspired on lord or the ring game of the thrones & 300 but with their own twist and based on motological Gods. I mean besides GOW. They are going that route anyways. Why not fully jump into it but with their amaing gameplay and narrative they make cool and epic seem so easy to make. Leave space themes to naughty dog and GG with a new twist on Killzone i can only imagine. GG has level up on level design and narrative etc Killzone need a reboot more greedy and heavy controls and advanced technology like killzone 2 but with a campin and script done by more professional writer's and actors. The basics are there and they are amazing

Not a supporter of this game, but it still does look and feel like a next-gen game. Not to metnion, its scope is bigger than anything else out there. Yeah, it has wayyyyy too many shortcomings, but good content creators have made content on this game saying, it ain't all bad.

And as someone said, it's not just about the looks (Which is still does better than any game I have seen), but the systems behind it that impress me more.

These guys are talking in years for milestones rather than months so it looks like they are happy to milk their supporters for as long as possible. It's a cash cow that has probably earned more money through crowdfunding than it would have through actual sales. There is no end in sight for this debacle.

45-100 fps depending on location on non-RTX3000 series cards. The game is also heavily dependent on a very good CPU/GPU pair. I can manage 45-60 on a GTX960 though. It’s not nearly as bad as the video makes it seem. Since they were likely not recording the screen at 1000fps to catch the hiccups in real-time.

Could it be possible to launch a "Comercial version" and an independent optional "Early Access version", so normal people can get into it and beta testers can help improve the game? I think it could shut up some critic voices with the status of the game and so much money invested.

Star Citizen already operates that way, with Alphas available for backers...blows my mind that it's still in alpha when we're days from 8 years from the Kickstarter announcement.

If you mean for Squadron 42, I don't think a linear game would work well in that respect, and most "critic voices" don't care about SQ42 really. They care about the 300 million raised that's mainly going towards the main event.

And man, they lucked out when that Crytek studio shut down. I can't imagine how much further behind they'd be if they didn't get the gift of a huge influx of devs with specialized knowledge on the (relatively) obscure engine they chose; CryEngine (Lumberyard) was such a poor choice for this type of game.

I don't think it's exactly a scam, as a scam indicates intent. I think this is just incompetence. It might come together, thanks to luck (Crytek studio closure), incredible understanding from their backers (8 years, and in alpha!), and a gross abundance of money ($300+ million helps solve a lot of problems).

There are already free fly events held every so often. So there’s no reason for anyone not to try it before they talk about it, but that doesn’t stop them from not trying it.

this is THE most expensive game ever made, and it hasn’t even been released yet lol not only that, but people keep putting money into it, which is just another level of moronic. these devs have one of the best scams going EVER lol they’re basically giving you updates from the yachts and private jets that they’re now able to afford because if this eventual vapourware game.

people are always fake-outraged at stupid stuff, and about how horribly wrong the gaming industry has gone in due to micro transactions and paid dlc, and yet you have this extremely obvious scam that apparently a lot of people are just too stupid to see lol not only that, but this is the type of game that only “gamers” would support like this. someone that casually plays games has no idea about this thing, so it’s the “hardcore gamers” that are allowing the continuation of this kind of practice. the next time you’re up in arms about some bs that ea, activision, or any other pub or dev does in terms of paid dlc, just remember this unfinished game has CROWDFUNDED more than 300 million usd to date and it’s not getting nearly the same attention lol

They have built multiple development studios from the ground up. They started from nothing and are over 500 employees. I guarantee that has never been done before without a billion dollar publisher. I really don’t like the word scam for it either. Since that’s assuming that the people working on the games don’t get paid at all and the higher ups take all the money. It doesn’t work like that. If people don’t get paid, they quit and sue. Then more people quit and sue. They must be getting paid their 68k-120k salaries then.

If you watch the videos they definitely aren’t living in yachts. Many of the leaders live in relatively small apartments. No one should really complain about the money they’ve spent on it though. The vast majority of the money they have made for the game is through 1 time buyers. Most people have not bought any other ship or paid any other money.
