So The wii suddenly won the war in 8 months? Isn't it a battle for 1st place between each 3 systems still? Am I missing something?

THE_JUDGE6128d ago

I never thought that you could win a war with the gaming consumer's in a few months and without a holiday season with units of all systems on the shelves. Strange and stupid.

computer6128d ago

It's tough to include the wii into this 'competition' since its really in its' own path. The real competition is between Sony and Microsoft, and honestly I don't wan't any of them to lose because when there is competition, developers and companies alike work much harder for their product to succeed on the system.

The Wii should not be included in this comparison since the graphics are last gen. but they do have a great little machine there, just not as good of graphics as the Xbox 360 or PS3.

That last graph (North America: Sales to date) is amazing, look at the jump the Xbox 360 did right when the other two consoles came out, amazing sales there for the holidays compared to the PS3 and Wii.

apoc066128d ago

that jump in sales is due to the first real system mover: gears of war.

great game! short, but great.

if MS does not do something big, soon there will be trouble.
does it really take a genius to figure out that PS3 will outsell 360 in the next year or so? but things can always change. ill put my money on sony. And lets not forget these comments I posted in the past.

I have said it b4 and I will say it again.
If PS3 does not win the war. I promise to smash my PS3 on youtube.
The way I destroy it is up to the 360 fans.

Thats my word View

BTW. I have only one bubble because my friend thought it would be funny to swear all over this site into I got suspended for a whole week. and that was the E3 week!
please give a bubble back to a brother!

JAWs6128d ago

I think you are right and when I finally get my PS3 I would probably do what you have promised to do with yours, but i'll probably chicken out

chitown6128d ago (Edited 6128d ago )

u bubble me i bubble u bro.. lol spread the wealth

neways i honestly dont think this wii fad is gonna last. in the end its either gonna be the 360 or the ps3. dont hate on me wii fans (hardly any on the site anyways and BTW u guys know we have a wii section!!! found that out a couple days ago jk lol)

EDIT i just dont see the wii as a serios gaming console and it doesnt have the killer apps like bioshock, mass effect, halo 3, killzone 2, heavenly sword ratchet etc etc that are geared towards u kno a more mature audience. mario is really fun and all but it gets boring after a awhile

u guys kno what im talking about

All three consoles have an advantage over the competion.

Wii: It's cheaper, and has a new type of controler for consoles.

Xbox 360: It has more games, and a proven online service.

PS3: It has more technology behind it but more Japanese developer support than the Xbox 360.

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

7 Iconic Games That Put The PS1 On The Map

The first PlayStation is home to an array of iconic video games that went on to define the sheer significance of this console.

SimpleSlave14h ago

I think from a historical perspective I would change Spyro for Grand Turismo. It's the franchise that made the PS1 look like an absolute unit. Other than that, I can't argue with the rest when it comes to games that defined the PS1.

And to be honest, there should be space for Tekken 3, Wipepout and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in order to round out the PS1 identity as the machine to own at the time.

With Tomb Raider 2, Silent Hill, Symphony of the Night, Tenchu, and Soul Reaver as backup contenders.

Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell Of Ar Ciel Retro Review – Love Conquers All

Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.

Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.

That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.

Knightofelemia1d 19h ago

Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.

TheColbertinator1d 18h ago

I still have the limited edition of Qoga unopened. Unfortunately it never went up in value like I had hoped all these years.

Used to own all these quirky JRPG on ps3 good times. Wish I would have kept them all
