Rumour - LA Noire slated for release on PS3, 360 and PC

VG247:

Treat this as rumour for now, but if a LinkedIn CV of Senior Lightning Artist at Team Bondi Carl Ross is correct, it seems that the long overdue LA Noire is slated for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

This is what it says on his profile:

"Team Bondi - August 2007 - Present
LA Noire - Senior Artist, Lighting.
PS3, 360, PC"

We'll check in with Rockstar about this and see if they'll bite on this one.

Cyrax_875347d ago

..that it's going to PC? 'cause wasn't this always gonna be multiplat? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Xi5347d ago

however there have been mixed reports on whether the console will hit other system and has never officially been confirmed for any other platforms.

Anyways, I'm excited for this game if it's a adventure and not action oriented.

wxer5347d ago (Edited 5347d ago )

the only thing that is 100% confirmed
that's its going to a be a PS3 version
that's the only thing they announced up till new
however i dont think this game is a ps3 exclusive

all and all
its still a Rumor up tell now
so i don’t take anything for granted till rock star north gives the word

EDIT:
this rumor is 100% false
i did some research
and this what i found

"The game development is fully funded by Sony Computer Entertainment America, but the development is very slow due to the vacancy positions of the company."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

one other thing

"Team Bondi is an Australian independent Third-party game developer, especially for the next generation game consoles. The company was founded by Brendan McNamara[2], who was the former Director of Development for Sony Computer Entertainment’s Team Soho Studio in London and writer and director of The Getaway which has gone on to sell over 4 million units on the PlayStation 2 console."

So I think that Team Bondi and Sony got a good connection

callahan095347d ago

Yeah, it's hard to tell what to think of this project. The official Team Bondi site for the game says "Platform: Next Generation Consoles" - which implies more than just PS3. And you've got this guy claiming he worked on it for PS3, PC, and 360.

So, why does the wikipedia entry suggest that Sony is funding the game? If they're funding it, it isn't going to any other platforms. But apparently it is going to other platforms. Also, why would Sony fund it, and have nothing to do with the publication of it? I mean, Team Bondi is an independent studio, Sony is funding the game, and then somehow Rockstar is publishing it? It doesn't gel. The most recent source that says Team Bondi had a project being funded by Sony was a Eurogamer interview from 2004, that was 2 years before the PS3 was even out, and 5 years ago from today, and it doesn't even mention that L.A. Noir is that project.

So... I just don't know.

wxer5347d ago

@callahan09

yah but i think its a more of a PS3,PC game
cuse sony dose make\own PC games

mastiffchild5347d ago

Sony DOES make PS3/PC games but I can't recall a PS3 game also on PC (or even slted yet) that ian't an MMO-is there one that isn't?

Still, the listing of this has ALWAYS been for next gen consoles with PS3 just being the only one confirmed and, who knows, someone could just have read the PS3 bit on TB's site , heard the earlier Sony rumours about funding and made 2 + 2 = 56-and that's what's ended up on Wiki. It wouldn't be the first time now would it?

If Sony were funding the game it WOULD be published by them as well as all the games they support tend to be, at least all in the west anyway as Capcom publish GOW in Japan even though SCEA make it-go figure. I'd imagine, then, that the rumour might well prove to be true and PS3 might be lead platform which is why it was the first confirmed but I've NEVER had LA Noire down as a PS3 exclusive myself(except for a week when everyone told me it was!)-ever since seeing TB's listing for the game and fail to see why that should change unless we get told otherwise from R*/TB/Sony.

Frankly all this means is that more gamers don't have a clue about a game coming to their machine! What is it? 3 years(nearly) and we've only got that first announcement trailer?

Disccordia5347d ago

Sony invested in the project at the start but then for whatever reason decided to pull the funding. This explains why it was initially announced for PS3 only and now seems to be heading for the 360 too.

Lightsaber5347d ago

I remember reading months ago on many of the major game sites that it had been confirmed for the 360. Dont really know about the pc version. I dont pay much attention to pc games cause I dont like using a mouse and keyboard. I guess they could of been miss informed.

I dont care cause after buying GTA4 I'll never buy another game made by rockstar that was the worse piece of crap I ever played.

oh and I play a lot of bad games lol

What else have Team Bondi made?

wxer5347d ago (Edited 5347d ago )

they are new (2005)
but the founder Brendan McNamara
used to work for sony and he made The Getaway

qface645347d ago

i don't see why anyone should even care much about this game as things are this game is nothing literally

how long has it been and yet zip is known about this game besides that old teaser

Bathyj5347d ago

So no one should care about Alan Wake then. Until not long ago nothing was know about that apart from some screenshots.

Maybe they'll release info when they're ready.

I guess now we know it won't be sandbox anymore.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor22d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8522d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius22d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius22d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor22d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia126d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

andy85127d ago

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88127d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo127d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z127d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac127d ago (Edited 127d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm127d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.

Six Best Historically Accurate Games

GF365: "Out of the many historically accurate games out there, these are our picks for the six best games that are historically accurate. While these games aren't completely accurate, they depict the times and situations of history well. Plus, they're all a lot of fun to play, too."

Historically accurate from the past is tough to truly know and judge especially the farther you go back because history is written from the people in power and doesn’t mean it’s the truth just the narrative they wanted to tell.

I don’t care about historically accurate in most games because they are games not biographies or history books . Just make the game fun , good gameplay and such .

Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t historically accurate in many things but I loved the game . Many examples like it .
