Hamsterfist.com comes up with the Top Ten reasons to own a 360. What did they miss? Tomorrow will be the Top Ten reasons to own a PS3 and Friday will be the Wii. Hey, no fan-boys over at Hamsterfist. Everyone is welcome there!
excerpt:
"Ok so this reason does depend on preference, and gaming preference as well. While I like the PS3 controller, I prefer the 360 controller for shooters and racers. The triggers seem to have a better response and seem be easier to hold down. Through in the staggered analog sticks, and you have a winner."
This could be fun as they make great tables. Go big or go extinct. Prime your senses for a neural handshake and step into the cockpit of a Jaeger. It is on you to cancel the apocalypse when Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX on May 16.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
haven't had a "top X reasons to own X console". This ones a good one.
this list is pretty good
10 Controllers
- PS3 wins
9 Price
- PS3 wins with Slim and on top of that it is reliable
8 Media Center
- Better on PS3 anyway...
7 Twitter/Facebook
- Lame
6 Project Natal
- I don't want to play with the air
5 Achievements
- Ps3 throphies are better
4 Netflix
- The PS3 already has a video store
3 Install Base
- Who cares anyway?
2 Live
- I don't pay for lag, I already pay for my internet connection
1 The Games
- PS3 wins again! inFamous, Killzone, Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Metal Gear Solid 4, MLB 08: The Show, Warhawk, MotorStorm, Fat Princess, Wipeout HD, Eveyday Shooter and soon M.A.G., God of War, Heavy Rain, Quantum, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Gran Turismo 5, White Knight Chronicles, Agent, The Last Guardian, DC universe online, plus all the multiplatforms.
10. Controllers - Sure it's a preference but when you look past that the PS3 controller is clearly better. No need to buy batteries and it recharges faster than the 360's plug & play kit.
9. Price - even before the PS3 Slim the 360 isn't cheaper unless all you want is a basic experience otherwise you'll have to spend a ton of money on accessories as well as an extra $150 for WiFi and the ability to play online.
8. Media Center - Can be done on the PS3
7. Twitter/Facebook - I don't see why these are in the top reasons to own a console at all but even then PS3 has a web browser and can still access both sites just fine.
6. Project Natal - Likely to be dropped just like the Xbox Vision Camera support which they said they would support yet the only games that supported it (that I know of) is Totemball and a Raving Rabbids port not to mention the PS3 will also have motion control which is more accurate (no need for pretzel looking avatars) and this has been done before with the EyeToy last gen so it's nothing special (also see EyePet)
5. Achievements/Awards - Trophies/Awards Trophies can't be hacked like achievements and the awards are much more than just shirts.
4. Netflix - PS3 has a web browser and there are plenty of sites that stream movies and such if you want to watch them (plus they are free).
3. Install Base - Doesn't matter (Wii has a bigger install base but even PS3 has the better games; I'm not saying the Wii doesn't have games but it just doesn't have as many AAA exclusives as the PS3)
2. Live - PSN doesn't cost $50 a year (it's free), you don't have to worry about laggy P2P servers (as most games have dedicated servers), you don't have to choose between paying a fee (having XBL Gold) or waiting a week (XBL Silver) to download things such as demos.
1. The Games - Clearly this a reason why you wouldn't want to own a 360 as it really has no games and the games that it calls "exclusives" can often be found on the PC. PS3 has more exclusives and they are higher rated compared to the 360.
Fear in the Openzone!!!!!
