Bioware revealed through their twitter account that they are working on a new "technology" feature for Mass Effect 2. They say it's secret, and awesome!

Bubble for you for reminding me of Dragon Age spoof and making me laugh.

iMad5388d ago

we all know that all xbox 360 playing with tesselation now and try to implement it for texture rendering.

See Forza 3 track enviroments as an examlpe of tesselation use.

jessehaysfl5388d ago

wow I got alotta hate for a joke.....

Damn.

Anyway yeah I think the tesselation guess is a really good one...

iMad5388d ago (Edited 5388d ago )

ME2 uses Unreal Engine 3.
Epic said we will be all surprised then we look at some new additions to the engine.
Now ME2 developer tell that they are doing some cool stuf. And know what - that is all tesselation i guess.

Can't wait to see new wave of games with DX11 like features on 360.

billybob24685388d ago

Couldn't they also mean it's a new "Tech" ability, ya know like damping and hacking and all that good stuff?

xztence5388d ago

Their "new tech" is shorter elevator times.

BadKarmaSutra965388d ago

I hope their new tech is a small shuttlecraft or helecopter-type vehicle instead of that Mako which made traversing those distant worlds a huge chore.

DX11 exclusive features for the pc version? *drools* that would be truly amazing

@disagrees, apparently, it wouldn't be good if there was dx11 features for this game......speak up , i'd love to hear why better graphics are a bad thing, stupid little sh!ts

PS360PCROCKS5388d ago

It's ok I got attacked for saying I wanted Valve to release a new Source engine so that the PC/360 versions of L4D2 could have crazy good graphics. Apparently it's good enough and I'm wrong, who knows.

Kushan5388d ago

If you say anything that's remotely 360 friendly, the PS3 fanboys will all disagree with you.

If you say anything that's remotely PS3 friendly, the 360 fanboys will all disagree with you.

If you say anything that's PC friendly, you're indirectly saying something vaguely unfriendly towards both the PS3 and 360. Beware. Beware the fickle-minded fanboy.

asdr3wsfas5388d ago

You forgot the most dangerous part: being friendly towards the wii.

iagainsti1205388d ago (Edited 5388d ago )

well since tessellation is built into every ati chip made since the HD2000 series since it has directx 10.1 support (and in the 360) it would be wise to use this feature since it would improve frame rates and incress the number of objects on screen and polygon counts depending on there proximity to you. ohhh man if this is it im so excited + in the vids of ME2 the character models where really high resolution :)

Nihilism5388d ago (Edited 5388d ago )

yeah i don't get it, dx11 was just a possible feature i threw up in the air because no one has any idea what the "new feature" is, my sincerest apologies to anyone that was hurt by my unbiased rational suggestion as to a possible feature. i'll try to be more like you disagree-ers BRAINS!!!!, 360FTW, SONY IS TEH BEST!

@STONEY4 below

shhh!, don't speak in truths and fact.....saying that it loaded fast on pc apparently means that you hate 360...or so it would seem on here

If they improved the first game's flaws then this game is guaranteed to be perfect. Definite contender for GOTY 2010 (in my opinion).

KingKionic 5388d ago

Screen tearing ,slow load times .

Hopefully they get fixed .

PS360PCROCKS5388d ago

They already have stated those issues are completely fixed.

iHEARTboobs5388d ago

Fixed and improved upon. Should be a great game. I hope the Mako gets beefed up a bit.

STONEY45388d ago (Edited 5388d ago )

I don't remember screen tearing and the load times were about 3 seconds...

Edit: Nevermind, you're probably talking about the console version.

mistajeff5388d ago

Yeah, I remember reading some interview with Hudson where he says they aren't using 100% Unreal 3 anymore, and that cleared the glitches up almost instantly. I believe it was in OXM?

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave22d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan22d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave22d ago (Edited 22d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
