That's what your AVR's room calibration software is for... or if you're so inclined, using alternative software like Room EQ Wizard, and a calibrated UMIK-1.

My God, don't use your video game console to calibrate your HT audio...

Uh... no.

Are you sure it wasn't other open world games influencing BotW?

820d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

No, it's apt. Yes, "we're still Bethesda", meaning they would remain independent, and continue to publish games as they were doing prior to the acquisition. Turns out that was false.

Once the ink dries, and any contracts involving titles that are already slated to be multiplatform have been fulfilled, I would not be at all surprised if Bungie releases some exclusive titles for PS. It would be a shock if they still remained fully 3rd party beyond those...

"Also this is what Activision have said

We will honor all existing commitments post close. As with Microsoft’s acquisition of Minecraft, we have no intent to remove any content from platforms where it exists today."

Yes, existing contracts will be honoured. Sony has contracts set up so that the next 3 CoDs are going to be available on PS. Beyond that, MS will be able to keep CoD as an Xbox/PC exclusive. Given that they had no issues making TE6...

It never did. Two separate things - one's a streaming service, the other isn't.

It tells us that (if what has been said is actually true) that Sony is willing to allow their acquisitions to remain multiplatform whereas MS isn't.

"Then there are a bunch of "you" that play what is perceived as "cool" and "good""

Oh, you mean like a PS1-styled version of Bloodborne?

"This development comes courtesy of a blog post from Bethesda’s SVP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines. In it, Hines states in part, 'but the key point is we’re still Bethesda. We’re still working on the same games we were yesterday, made by the same studios we’ve worked with for years, and those games will be published by us.'"

@Orchard

"I agree, until I actually see the behavior/actions play out, I will remain skeptical. It was just that their statements seemed less wishy-washy than Microsoft’s about “existing games” etc."

Yup! There's that, I guess. I won't hold my breath, though!

Bethesda said the same thing when the MS deal was announced.

827d ago 7 agree3 disagreeView comment

I will always remain skeptical of any of these claims until they've actually shown that to be the case.

We all saw Bethesda claim they were going to remain independent/multi-platform and self-publish after the deal was announced, then turn around with a "JK we said we were, but we're not. Sorry."

827d ago 6 agree6 disagreeView comment

No, they literally left because they were unhappy.

827d ago 6 agree7 disagreeView comment

Ehhh... I would be skeptical of the multiplatform thing. I'm sure it'll be true of expansions for existing titles already released, but new, unannounced IPs/sequels will likely go exclusive.

827d ago 8 agree8 disagreeView comment

MS didn't dump Bungie, it was the other way around. Bungie left MS because MS wouldn't let them make anything other than Halo.

827d ago 14 agree8 disagreeView comment

We'll see. History has shown that not to be the case. I expect some future exclusivity for games that haven't even been announced yet. Add-on content/expansions for Destiny/Destiny 2 will definitely remain multiplatform since the game is already on several platforms.

"Same with activion. Sill wording thing making people think future COD games won't he on playstation when they will."

Not beyond the contracts they've already signed with Activision.

How much did MS pay for Mojang?

827d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Probably not.

But it might give you a bit more insight if you have.
