Times are changing.
Most multiplayer games have huge drop off rates now as soon as a new game is released.
The days of hundreds of thousands of players sticking with one game are gone.
Any decent multiplayer fps game will see 20,000 players after 6 months. Any more is a bonus.
Playerbase is fragmented now across a wide variety of games and it will only keep spreading thinner.
Which is fine.....except you can literally do that about every single game.
Doom - spaceships and demons, yea right.
UC - Doors that also do not open, invisible barriers you cant walk through
Every single game ever made, ever, has stuff that couldnt happen in real life.
If you're going to nitpick one game, you better nit pick them all, otherwise you're just being a selective, biased fanboy.
Articles like this just scream of saltiness.
I love Uncharteds, and i played and thought Quantum Break was very decent.
Nobody is making the claim QB is better than UC.
So there really is no need for satire articles like this.
We are one gaming community and all this article acheives is to make UC fans who upvote this look incredibly salty.
Which is a shame :(
Downloaded it but didnt bother to try it. Not even once.
Love my xb1, but gears has run its course for me.
I'm more than fine with this.
BF4 single player was too long and boring. I felt compelled to complete it just for the sake of it.
Blast through 6 quality missions and then on to multiplayer.
All game engines are old.
Everything is built upon engines which get updated, nothing is ever written from scratch.
Basically, you are clueless.
Great if true.
Wait till next gen if not.
Might buy a ps4 neo. Depends, as always, on the quality of games.
XB1 is ticking most of the checkboxes for me atm. Love it.
Heard this all before from Activision and they lied.
The boy that cried wolf.
Battlefield single player is a disastrous monstrocity.
They need to completely overhaul the vehicle engine aswell.
It might work for tanks and choppers, but hardline really showed how ugly cars run on it.
2 things watchdogs does better -
1) The cover based system. So clunky in gta v. Smooth as butter in watchdogs.
2) The player / character models. Character model graphics in gta v are extremely outdated now. Watchdogs are much better.
Would agree on almost everything else being better in gta though. Just those 2 things stick out.
Jumping off the CoD train with this one.
Not for me.
Honestly, your comment is so laughable, it's rediculous.
Spotting 720 to 1080 is easily seeable if you look closely.
But 1080 to 4k on anything under 50 inches is quite hard to tell the difference.
Law of diminishing returns kicks in.
I'm sure you people are going to cry how 4k is a "blurry mess" when 8k becomes the norm.
Smh.
Do not want 4k gaming.
Put the extra power in 1080p 60fps instead please.
The visual difference in 1080p vs 4k is too small for anyone to give a sh*t about.
Diablo 3.
Hmmmmm, nah. Not very triple a. More of a lesser game tbph.
Fixing what exactly?
Its never been broken.
Took me about 15 hours to finish the story mode part of the game and get to level 30.
Thats on par with most single player games.
How is the game half baked?
The game works flawlessly since day 1.
The hype train leaves all games after a couple of days at most.
Thats the nature of all entertainment.
Fact is though, the game is as popular as ever and vast amounts play it.
There are very good reasons to get defensive.
If, as a consumer, i wanted to play the newest games with the most people, an article like this would suggest that PC is the platform to do it on.
Look at a game like Battlefront though.
Even the XB1 version has over 10 x the amount of players than PC version.
An almost new game, and the playerbase is basically dead on PC, whilst thriving healthily on consoles.
...
And the demographic that is most discriminated against.
