Its not losing them any money, letting second lifers play dune scenarios, and no one profits from it.

Lawyers must all be bored to death to chase down such trivial matters that keep the fans of the IP they are protecting interested and involved in the IP

"ramping ascendancy"

I mean come on, at least use real terms in your unreasoned, unresearched, console biased articles.

Why? LOTR has produced loads of games before with believable gameplay mechanics that fit the lore. EG : the minstrel healing in LOTRO, as they have a morale bar, instead of health, so his songs keep morale up. I just feel like that they made a passable game (by no means think this game is great anyway, its a bit crap) and tacked on the LOTR title to sell more copies. Its just a cheesy tactic if you ask me.

Granted, but it could have been a great lord of the rings game by taking out the mages, and the fire sword. Most of the other stuff seemed ok. Well, the scout class kinda sucks too, and he can go invisible... If I remember right that was a power limited to a fairly powerful LOTR artifact.... the one ring(note, there's only one of them). Besides, playing that class is pretty crap.

If it was not a LOTR game, fine. All that stuff is cool. But when you take on a franchise, particula...

If anyone is a true LOTR fan, they will hate this game. It take the lore and craps all over it. I was fighting sauron with a sword I could light on fire while 6 "mages" healed me and shot lightning and fireballs at him.... Did the devs even read the book? Hell, did they watch the movie?

Was that a tutorial to teach people how to press square?

Either way, I love the visualizations on PS3. The 360 ones are not as good, but what they do have is interactivity. Its really cool, and can take input from up to 4 controllers. Hopefully the 360 will get better visualizations, and the ps3 will get interactivity.

I love FO3, bought it on PC, but have played both console versions, and the graphics on PS3 were far better.

Lets face it, microsoft have never made a good product. EVER. They bought DOS, stole ideas (seen the Dreamcast controller? very similar to the xbox one) and churn out crap (ME anyone?). There is not one thing I use made my MS except for XP (wouldn't touch vista with a ten foot computer pole) and the 360 but only for the exclusives. If I can get it on another platform, I buy it there, even if it means waiting out timed exclusives. I have had an RROD, got banned from xbox live BY MISTAKE! I jus...

I played the European beta a while ago I thought.... Meh. Personally I didn't like this game at all. I thought it tried to be too many other games, not quite nailing any of them.

As has been said, the game was pirated because of

A) Restictive DRM (I was going to buy it, and said F**K EA once I saw the DRM)

B) The game was a bit pants to be honest. The cute crowd won and it ended up not being the game we all hoped for. Hence, not worth the money.

c) Because people download everything. Piracy is a fact of life, it can only be minimised, not stopped.

Now here is the good bit, listen close developers. I know how to min...

They didn't include DRM because DRM is a load of crap that doesn't work, so why pay securerom a salary for software that will be cracked in a few days? its wasting valves money.

I would have taken this article more seriously if she had mentioned in the title that Home was "an epic failure" rather than the version "a epic failure" she used. Quite frankly it makes her sound as if she is disappointed in anything without flashing lights and cartoon animals on it.

This is NOT the time and place for fanboyism of a nature that belittles the victim in all this, a dead little boy. That said, open zone. Wii sux, xbot, PoS3

I believe its more to do with the fact that the parents blamed an addiction to video gaming for his disappearance. I see where you are coming from, but there are important issues for video gamers in the article. For example, a judge declaring the addiction a cause for his disappearance could have had repercussions in gaming legislature in America, which could in turn affect the whole western games market.

His father helped him pack... cold. I can imagine how he felt. I know what his father was thinking, assuming he would crash at a friends for a day or two. Now he has to live with that fact for the rest of his life, that he packed his sons bag on the last day he ever saw him, and let him cycle and walk to his own death. On the video gaming side, clearly more was afoot than just a video gaming addiction.

I found loads of one hits in vats. 2-3 shots in normal (zoom aimed) shooting. Question is what is his small weapons skill? he could have gimped it for the vid, or he could be an FPS guy, who just clicked random stats. And dismemberment is glorious in this game!

*psssst* bethesda? please patch dismemberment into oblivion!

No… no its not. Silicon chips do not melt at such temperatures. It is indeed the heat of the graphics chip melting the solder. The solder is a connection between two contacts.so, if it melts and splits, the connection is lost. Hence, you can temporarily fix it using the towel overheat method. It melts the solder again, and if all goes well, (with a dose ...
