I don't like steam either, I don't see why a store bought game has to have the authorisation from an another online only company/store program simply to be able to install the game disks that I have paid money for.
Then be sometimes have to wait for the USA release date just to use the already paid for game.

They can't be released copies of the games as the stores only get them 1-2 days before the release.

they only bought them so they had less competition against them, they buy the 3rd party games as they don't have to waste the dev costs on the games, simply pay a couple million to the right dev and you don't have to worry about having to pay people's salaries etc

I reckon they are using the flight sim X engine, there's no trees and the flight sim engine gives the same pictures you know extremely sharp pictures but the game will be extremely bare overall.
Do they have more than 3 cars on the track, I haven't seen a pic with more than 3 cars isn't that going down for cars on track?
What I find strange is all these people saying Forza in general has flogged GT5 easy.
All the while there are plently of car comps people can enter if they have a copy of GT5 and play online in the ladders where the top 2-3 people have the chnace of racing for real in the nurinburg ring 24 hour race.

Mp3 players aren't new and apple didn't invent them they only made it easier to get the songs and put them onto the mp3 player that is it.
The problem is some people will want something to do in the game.
CCP can't always rely on a few people to always bring in the cash, so I can see why they have gone to the planets and then allowing for FPS fighting.
You can't really have planets and then have no way of doing the fights.

All the GFX cards even the budget ones will handle the top PC games easy, these days.
Too many games are geared for the console so on a PC the game just seems like a poorly made one compared to the old PC only games.
You end up paying less for the PC version anyway probably because they know it's not quite good on the PC so figure it;s not worth the money as the consoles.
Only happy because steam is on it and can directly make money off it.
WHere as MS probably told them to fuck off and they'll be making their own steam program and it'll block steam in every way on win 8.

The other issue is no game would be supporting it as it's not a game program it'd be outside the game so you'd need to get rid of the in-game stuff and use the outside SIP program.
Not many games would allow you to do that currently.

It's not the memory it's because of patents.
Microsoft have it fully patented and no one else can make a copy or able to make a work around that doesn't use something in that patent.
It's come up plenty of times before.
If it was really a lack of memory then you'd 100% shutdown the XMB bar and you'd never have anything downloading in the background and stuff.

The CELL isn't based on an intel design it's based on PowerPC chips.
the difference is the CELL is meant to be running pure assembly code not C or some other language.
That is why IBM put in a special C language handler so the chip itself takes in C code and converts it to assembly code then processes it, assembly is the fastest code you can do but it's very hard for people to do stuff in it as your writing what all CPUs actually use so few people...
I've gone to some game stores and gotten the same games cheaper than steam prices even with a discount.
It's not always the cheapest.
