That's part of the problem right there. There's a lot more to Live than just online play. The social aspect of Live is great. Obviously, if someone isn't into the social aspect that much, Live may not be that big of a deal.

My #1 factor when buying a game is whether or not I think I will have fun with it. Now, fun can mean a lot of things like a great and/or emotional story or just laughing your ass off with a bunch of friends. I couldn't care less about a "platform with the greatest technological ability" if it wasn't giving me games ...

I remember playing this when it came out and thinking, "Holy crap! This game looks awesome!" To me, it was one of those games that took a pretty big leap in graphics over what was out at the time.

I've always thought that was an excuse people use when something they personally don't like sells well. Of course there are exceptions to everything, but USUALLY if something is selling well, it's because it is "good" and people want it.
