Amazing how sensitive XBOX gamers are—which I completely get. They are harassed quite a bit. Though, it seems a lot of that is instigated. Such as the example above. I wasn't implying that Microsoft had inferior security design. My only point was that the more openings PS4 has to other systems the better the chance of it being compromised. Doesn't matter if that system is an XBOX or a three week old bean and rice burrito.
I kind of don't blame Sony. After all the security issues that has occasionally popped up, opening up the architecture even more could be a gamble. Sure would like to whip up on some X'rs, though.
Many (if not most) bashers of VR are likely suffering from 'have-not-itus.' And hey, I get it. The way our own psyche works in order to make financially out-of-reach objects seem undesirable is normal. VR is a lot bigger than so many gamers want to realize. Whether it be five years or fifty eventually VR is going to be accepted into the mainstream. A must-have item akin to a television.
Having experienced both the Rift and Sony VR offering I stand by my analogy—as I feel the PSVR isn't as good as Oculus.
You know, I get it—the dedication of fans who like one console over another, but games like this have to be tempting to the XBo folks.
I wonder if when XBOX Two releases in around two years (give or take six months) and games slow/stop for One X, if then, devout XBOX fans will feel cheated—especially with only maybe one to three exclusives the first year. At this point it seems as though Phil Spencer could walk up, punch an XBOX'r in the throat, kick the family pet, and shout that that gamer's mom is a hairy-lipped, stench-wrench with feces-flavored Tic-Tacs for braincells and still hail XBOX as forever superior.
So, this story is sparked by a YouTuber's opinion? I think it's frustratingly silly Bethesda has kept Skyrim at the sixty dollars price-point through it's generational ports, but Skyrim VR will be awesome. Period. SEGA-Saturn-early-3D-kind-of-a wesome, but still awesome.

The future is mobile hybrid.
If a video game console maker could create a system that's as powerful (not close but IS as powerful) as a dedicated home console and also make that device a smartphone—automatic number one seller. Anyone who thinks S, M, and N aren't ferociously looking into this angle is kidding themselves....and, ironically, be one of the first individuals to throw down a grand for a pre-order. As long as it docks and functions seamlessly as a home game system. (Full-sized controls and all. Not the...
Thank Nintendo.
This article makes it seem as though Microsoft hid a bunch of reasons why gamers should drop serious dough to own this monstrous motor without a motorway from everyone but Eurogamer. I think that any ammo MS has to market and promote the One X is already being rat-a-tat-tat'd away.
Nothing wrong with giving insight to someone so he/she doesn't do something that will be regretted later.
I sold my Switch to get a Wii U, a pro controller, a two year warranty and a couple games.
Microsoft personally offended and threatened a large section of the gaming community—and on what could have been a monumental level. Now, with the lack of follow-thru to deliver games, the once somewhat respectable game box maker is further aggravating a significant portion of its shrinking fan-base. The division is MS's fault, alone.
XBOX is behind because of terrible marketing and digital rights management design (later changed—just before release) of the XBOX One. This was Fueled by greed and monopolistic, soulless business practices. This has chased off game designers with the kind of originality and passion needed to bring purely enjoyable titles to a console. Those production houses that did decide to stick with MS paid the price with cancelled games and lackluster sales numbers.
So, an article by Forbes is being filed under 'opinion' now? Interesting. Anyways, I'm getting a whiff of Dreamcast and Wii U with this Hail Mary from Microsoft. Difference is Nintendo and Sega actually had a decent-sized fan-base.
