@KingPin, Actually i was describing the uncharted series but you are right the same does apply to the cod games.
Uncharted series = overrated trash, thats why he cant finish them. Boring ass gameplay, does nothing new or interesting.
I find it funny how people trash FF7 for no reason just to appear old school or to Piss off the fan boys, there's a reason its the most popular Final Fantasy title, it might not be the best but its certainly not a bad game. I love ff6 but FF7 is just as good an rpg if not better. FF6s story is seriously overrated and its villain is just as cliche as FF7s.
Square made ff13-2 because love it or hate it ff13 is the fastest selling ff title so why the hell not? I didnt enjoy ff13 for many of the same reasons you alredy pointed out but that doesnt change how successful the game was.
Its too bad that game is dead, there are a few others around but they all seem incomplete or in permanent beta status. I guess since its kind of a niche market the big boys wont invest in such projects.

i love "japanese rpgs" and how silly they can be, i enjoyed ff13 for what it is but if this is what defines a traditional rpg for some people then i guess im not an rpg fan even with all the "japanese rpgs" ive played. What teams are u talking about? SquareEnix did not make White Knight Chronicles. But I do agree the best SquareEnix developers are hard at work on their flag ship titles Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy Versus 13, no doubt about it.

On the ps3 you can just download saved states and have everything. I just rented Grand Turismo the other day and wanted to play with all the cars so i just downloaded the save state, how will this work with trophies?
You unlock an accomplishment in lets say DMC4 and it gives you a skin or something to put on your avatar in Home. Imagine walking around in Home with the Sparda on your back :)

Every FF has had great RT graphics compared to the games released around the same time. Also how can you me stupid enough to compare God of War 2 a ps2 game released at the ps2s peak with FF7 a ps1 game released when the ps1 was relatively new.
Now i feel excited for this game, ive hated every pokemon game after Red/Blue cuz they were all the same. About time they made something different, too many rehashes thats why i dont like Nintendo anymore.

Anybody else remember how good it felt when u finally beat Super Contra with your buddy? Felt so satisfying after getting your ass handed to you over and over, miss that type of game. Demons Souls and Dark souls brought some of that back.
