nothing's gonna stop the hype train of next gen, or distract from it not even Mario. However I am excited for this collection. I hope it's the DS version of 64, and both Galaxy games. I hope it's a collection cause there's no way I'm buying these games individually at full price or in a 120$ double pack.

In an ideal world every sibling would have their own individual console without the need to have to share. This isn't an ideal world, and people don't have the cash to spend on a luxery multiple times, so you gotta share. So really this is when all the criticism comes in handy and Ninty should fix something that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place.
DLC isn't a problem, when done right it's worth buying. Plenty of people express their criticism towards stuff like Amiibos, and paid difficulty modes. The problem is more people bought Amiibos than complained and people still bought those "expansion passes". I won't buy into either, but that doesn't change anything unfortunately
People's outrage are very selective. No one gave a damn when Nintendo charged money for difficulties for BotW, or when Naughty Dog charged for Grounded. I just don't understand how, when many devs can not only add in new game + and a harder difficulty through an update, can some devs think "hey let's charge people for this". I hope they atleast let you have access to your download list in the end of it's life. Hopefully they surprise us at some point next gen with a PS3 emulator

The excuse is that it's been like this from the first game, but the GameCube didn't have the option to create multiple profiles. Even so it was limited to 1 island per memory card, not very ideal back then either but it wasn't a console limitation. I thought it was common knowledge that you never get the full amount of space in an HDD or SSD? When I first got my 1tb PS Pro I noticed that I didn't have access to that full tb.
I think it unnecessary for any publisher, not just but any company to go after people that simply do things out of their love for games, music, art, movies. If SE shut down a few harmless fan games then screw em too.
