LOL @ Sony trying to stay ahead of Jailbreak. Why didn't Sony just stick with BC in the first place? I think Sony was going to sell old games over PSN and Jailbreak put stop to that.
I say 2 years for MS and Nintendo at the most and maybe 3 for Sony. I'm just looking at past consoles and 10yrs is way too long without an upgrade. Not saying the current gen wont be on the market for 10 years, just saying it wont be 10 years for the next gen. I think these publishers know but can't say so they just say no.
I don't know why MS just doesn't sell their first party titles over the marketplace. I can understand not wanting to piss off retailers but they could sell it a few weeks later.

Oh... you mean HDDs like whats in the 360 Pro, Elite, and 360S? In fact the least bought 360 "arcade" is the only 360 SKU that doesn't have a HDD but it will still play every 360 game, every one. PS3's have to come with HDDs because of mandatory installs, Sony could never sell a cheap starter PS3 because of that. I own 8 PS3 games that total over 40gb installed to the HDD and it's a 60gb PS3. The rest is filled with DLC and I have to remove that or installs for new games...
I'm a PC gamer too but I give you a month before the console fanboys rip your bubbles away.

I think PS3 fsnboys are blind to the word "OPTIONAL" because they been forced for so long they forgot it's a choice for 360 owners.
