It's unfortunate she had to get wrapped up in stupid jokes, she's really a beautiful woman. Ubisoft isn't guilty of trying to sex up the game.

Assassin's Creed so far (I've played about 2 hours) is a good game with very fun possibilities, but either the controls are too imprecise for the actions performed or there's a steep learning curve. Combat is ok, but the freerunning can be pretty wonky at times.

I love the concept and the power you feel you have as your p...

Except for the fact that if you get into this type of game you may never meet your future girlfriend!

That was the experience of my friend's room mate with Guitar Hero II, anyway.

Then again maybe your future girlfriend will join your band on Xbox Live and you'll fall in love and get married. Um, good luck!

I got Assassin's Creed just to tide me over so I wouldn't go pouring over every news tidbit until it came out.

Yet, here I am.

Are you trying to commit bubble suicide?

Eh, it may be an unfair comparison, but even considering that, it makes the PS3 look really bad. Especially with the Wii, which the 360 also had a big head start on, chugging right along in 2nd as far as dollars goes.
No matter how good Uncharted is it won't be able to take on Halo 3 sales wise, and if it wasn't the holiday season I doubt it'd even see Bioshock-like numbers thanks to the much smaller (but extremely vocal!) number of PS3 owners.

MGS4 and GT5, when those...

He said it will "drive shooter fans completely up the wall". Sounds like he's a shooter fan. And looking at the website for this magazine, I'm not too impressed by their credibility. Probably just another no name media source trying to make a name for themselves by giving a very hyped up game a marginal score. Maybe they're trying to win over the PS3 crowd. November's feature was on Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted after all. The same issue they gave Bioshock an 85 in. (Late revi...

Wow, definitely love being able to put your squad where you want them. Makes it a lot easier to play tactically like an RPG should. Or you can go out front and play full action like a shooter should...or do both....

And as awesome as being able to select their position is, being able to select their actions is even better. It allows some really awesome combos without you alone being too powerful to be balanced.

Ah, I love it. As many decisions in combat as in th...

"Gran Turismo is quickly becoming the racing game to watch for 2007 and 2008."

Yes, my point exactly. To watch. Wait and watch, that's all it's been.

What ever happened to playing a game.

Definitely has the potential for the most believable looking created characters I've seen in a video game so far. Sorry Wii Sports. ;-) .

To my understanding the Citadel is pretty huge. I'd imagine there are other cities as well to be found, and nooks and crannies in them to be uncovered.

That's a shame for PS3 owners, it's a really great (scary!) game.

Oh well, it did well enough anyway that hopefully 2K will take notice and continue making innovative games like Bioshock.

Hmmm, based on the iffyness of this review it looks like I'll have to be getting my storyline fix from Mass Effect.

But by the time I beat Mass Effect once or twice I'll be ready to get this one. :-P.

Too much mindless action though lately with all the FPS's coming out though, I'm ready for a really good story.

Wow, I really like the action wheel, it's like blending a little RTS with a little FPS built into a very deep RPG.

You don't have to be fully overwhelmed by the action, as really you can just pause and direct how you want the battle to go if you want.

Or if you want to go in with a little planning like this video shows, it can really give you the upper hand.

The love scene doesn't happen if you don't want it to happen...you can avoid it altogether. I think that's pretty cool. It's neat that you even get the option to think that videogame characters have the same needs and real people.

The interesting thing about this chart is that from Feb.-Sept. the 360 had a title that hit over 200k sales 7 different times.

The PS3? Once. And it was a multiplatform (Madden '08) that Xbox 360 outsold by 400k.

Scary time to be a PS3 owner.

Bring on the holidays!

It's because Uncharted is taking second place to Mass Effect thus far, and that isn't sitting well with them.

They only have one decent exclusive so far this holiday season, and from the sales figures so far, most of them aren't even buying it! Sheesh.

Remember, a game can only do as well as it's system does! (Which gives Mass Effect the upper hand by a longshot.)

6040d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

That doesn't make much sense...it doesn't need to be the most mindblowing fulfilling everything you need in a videogame etc. to be the best game you ever played....

It just needs to be better than all the other games you've ever played. Sheesh. Simple concept. :-P

Just messing with you. Haha.

Hahaha, ironically, the more Sony fanboys come in here to flame and troll, the more degrees that get added to this thread, and even more hype is being generated for Mass Effect.

Bring on the trolling fanboys, you're only contributing to beating yourself down!

Mass Effect is definitely the freshest and most exciting thing going on this holiday season, with Assassin's Creed close behind.

As for Uncharted, a video game can only do as well as it's syste...

If you do the math Ratchet and Clank is selling like crap. End of story.

You can hype the review side all you want but in the end a game's success comes down to cold hard sales. And you can bet your bottom dollar Mass Effect is gonna sell.

6040d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yay!

Keep in mind that this guy is saying that Mass Effect is better than any of the games that have been given 10's lately....Bioshock, Halo 3, Orange Box...possibly Assassin's Creed?

I really can't wait for this one, and I'll be surprised if there are ANY scores below 9.
